Hi all, well here are your (very differing) opinions on Ms Miranda Lawson

Just a few quick points:

1. This survey encorperates all ME2 and DLC's so there will be spoilers. If you don't want anything given away from the story please don't view the results

2. Apologies for the delay in publishing this, but there were allot of free text comments in this suvey and I wanted to ensure they were represented

3. In terns of the free text answers or comments, I've tried to represent all the range of answers so I haven't duplicated the same answer over and over. The Free text comments I've added for questions 1-39 is to give an accurate portrayal of the range of answers and opinions on the various questions/subjects

4. The final question (Question 40) is an open ended question with a "Free Text" answer. Its asking what everyones overall views are on Miranda. I felt it only right that I publish every single answer unedited and in its entirity. This makes the answer to Q40 extremely long, but its the final question in the survey so you can just stop there if you wish. I would say having read the opinions, its well worth taking the time to take a look

Please feel free to use this thread to discuss the survey as a whole and the individual questions/answers.

An interesting set of results... in some ways the comments are more revealing than the percentages.

It certainly demonstrates that Miranda is more than the one-note character she is sometimes made out to be.

Seriously though, don't you run statistical analysis (like correlations and stuff) to see, for example, what age group thinks what of Miranda, how her fans distinguish in their vies from non-fans, etc?

yes I was thinking of going down that road but I didn't want to make the survey too long and drawn out. I still have all the data and I can drill down further by age etc and then add the results to the original post. its certainly something I wouldn't mind doing if there is an interest there

Looking at Question 5 (What was your initial impressions of Miranda) I found the responses very interesting. Allot found her arrogent, others decisive. In my own opinion I found it refreshing that a human character was not bowing down to worship at the "Church of Shepard", this endeared her to me a great deal. It made me almost want to win her over !

Though I suspect the results are a bit skewed because comparatively more fans have taken part, they show that a lot of people who aren't diehard fans appreciate her in some or the other way. The personality trait breakdown and the user comments are particularly interesting. I've downloaded the PDF for later study. Thanks again.

Oh yes, that's IMO her most important personality trait.

I agree, I have to say the coments for me proved the most revealing about peoples thoughts about Miranda. Honestly not what I was expecting !

Yes, please. I would appreciate that very much. I did see a big number of Miranda fans posted as voted on your original thread, and I'm pretty sure that skewed the results quite a bit. But I'm still extremely (and pleasantly) surprised at the number of free comments that manage to look beyond her providing fanservice. Thank you very much for making the effort to hold this survey and for presenting the results!

it is what it is, peoples opinions, fans or non fans I always find them interesting. It was never intended to be completely scientific

I'm open to the idea, but I'm not sure whether there would be enough nterest. I'm currently drawing up a ME3 survey so thats next on my hitlist

Yep you can only edit your survey(thus seeing the answers) if you're going in from the same IP address
