I would like to delete my account but each time I use the delete account button, I get a message, unable to delete at this time.

Same here. I really want to delete this account, but can't. I have unused Bioware points, is that the problem? I'm going to keep bumping this until I get an answer or get banned. The OP has been waiting more than a week.

The OP's account appears to be deleted.

I don't see why you can't just abandon your account and forget about it. Seems the most sensible thing to do.

This sucks. I really want to delete this account. I thought I could get free extras for my game here - I didn't know I had to pay. I don't want to pay! I just signed up for the extra stuff and now that's not happening I just want to delete my account!!!!

What do you mean by "free stuff"? By your name I assume you're referring to Mass Effect 2?

If you register your game and your Cerberus Network code then that allows you access to the Cerberus Network DLC which is free.

1. Some of us don't want to leave bits of ourselves strewn about the Internet.
2. It's an allowed function of Profile Management/Account Settings and I thought the administrators might like to know it doesn't work.
3. It's none of your business.

You can delete your account when it's been one week since your last post on the forums.

Thank you, Pacifien. I'll try it in 10 days and see if it works. If not, "I'll be back". Perhaps that limitation should be posted in the Profile Management section.

You can delete your account when it's been one week since you created your account and/or one week from your last post to the forums.

Thank you Pacifien for the help. Also if I had a game pre-ordered and it says that I need to redeem it between a certain amount of time, if I already registered the game to bioware social do I have to worry about that anymore ?

Are you talking about registering it in order to receive an entitlement?

Once you have the entitlement you would be fine deleting your Social account as that won't delete your EA account which is what the item is linked to.

Well that's not really what I meant...this is the actual account that im going to use and it has my registered game, the other does not. What I'm trying to say is, for this account, if I already registered the game to this account will I be able to still claim the items even if the period of time to claim them expired ?

I'm a little confused as to why you aren't claiming them now? From what I understand of your question I think the answer would be no you can't claim items after they have expired.

Maybe you are asking how long you can use the items? If you claim them now you will still be able to *use* them after the time has expired for redemption.

I trying to claim them now since I'll be leaving somewhere for a while that I dont have access to a game system.

The items are the pre-ordering items and on the card it say redeem them between the day of release, which was Tuesday 8 March 2011, to I believe 2 weeks from then. After that I think you can't get it anymore.

I believe for PS3 it is May 31, 2011 but you will want to double check that with the packaging.

Well, it didn't really say precisely, only thing it said on the card was"Item must be redeemed between March 8,2011 and May 31, 2011" after that the rest say register to the social bioware network and then you get the items. That's all it says...

SyntheticDragon I'm still unsure on the reason behind why you need to delete your account. Can you explain further? If needed send me a message.
