Bioware, if you're going to do a close-up like that, please up the resolution a bit next time! We can handle a 512x512 texture for a photograph.

It is bad, way worse than that LotSB pic. And they actually zoomed in on it. Why the hell would they make it so bad if they were going to zoom in on it.

Really? Well the photos are off in the game, but the reaper is so huge, that every close up looks like... well crap. I'm talking mainly about the body, his shoulders for instance.



I'm playing with full hd resolution, 32x CSAA, 16x AF, 4x Transparency AA and I can only thank you jeanluc for those great enhancements of the original game you provide.

The textures look great on high settings and they work just fine.



Keep the good work up :D

Dress and the skintextures as well, if you have time. If you compare her face to her body in that dress there's a pretty big discrepency is texture resolution. I can dream, right?  :D

Wow, great work JeanLuc(Picard?). My ME just keeps getting better and better looking.


Now... I know requests are a pain(done a bit of modding myself, though not texturing, I've got no artistic skills whatsoever :( ), but if you've got some time could you look into male/female Shep's heavy N7 armour? Legs are just pure ugly.

:D I thought I needed to wait until I entered the world of ME2 again to enjoy your remarkable services, Jean-Luc, and I'm far from that game at this moment of my careers, but what did I find when I took a peak into your thread anyway? A Garrus face fix for ME1! I never got to using the tip for DaewaNya's variant which I obtained a couple of months ago, but I think I can trust your work to be equally good or better in one way or other. So I'm off to testing one of your mods for the first time. Thanks a lot for making the trouble of fixing that face. ;)


BTW, may I suggest something? Give all beginners in using mods of this sort an easy task of applying them through links to all necessary tools and instructions on how to use them in your OP. That would be good.

I made a short vid with your Tali Default Face and the Jacob Textures, like I wrote before @ Full HD, 32 x CSAA and 16 x AF. I turned Hotlink on so everyone should be able to download it with Premium rights.
I uploaded it to Youtube before, but it just looked like crap. 

So to the console players: that's what it looks like in motion and tbh it looks even better while playing.

The File has a size of 230 mb but like I said everyone should be able to download it at full speed (600 GB Traffic left, I doubt 1 GB will be used :D).

Forgive me for my ignorance, but is that armor actually available for use in the game or is that just through a mod? Either way, I can look into it.

A tutorial might be a good idea. I'll see what I can do to create one.



As for everyone else, I haven't really done any work over the weekend (homework! *shakes fist*), but I should be back to work on Tuesday or so. As for your request, LuxDragon, if all goes well I'll have it for you tomorrow.

For the picture Natoorat posted, that's a mod to allow the original N7 heavy armor from ME1 and the intro scene to be worn as ingame armor. Otherwise it's not usable.



And to be honest, I've always thought the civilian clothing was much more needing of texture revamps than the squadmates. I mean, you see it way more frequently, most of it is atrociously low-res, and they get recycled so often that it'd only take 2 or 3 texture maps to fix upwards to 7 or 8 storyline characters, not even including other civilians that you can talk to ingame.

I am indeed working on all the NPC's as well (512x512 just doesn't cut it). 

Lots and lots of textures, but very worth it in the end.
