Very nice, as always.
But could I make a little request(apart from my standard 'Heavy N7 armour please' one)?

As I am using retextured (black) normandy uniforms, and I prefere them to hi-res ones, I want to keep them, but I would like very much to have your hi-res science team uniform(dr Bastilasmother's one). I can double override them(standard uniforms) with tex mod, but that takes memory space needlesly, so could you separate standard cerberus uniforms and science uniforms into 2 different *.tpf files?

I'm a little confused as to what you're asking.  Are you asking if I can separate the Normandy Cerberus uniform from the one that other NPC's wear?  If so, unfortunately it's a "universal" texture.

I think he's asking for Chakwas' uniform to be in a seperate file since he still wants the hi-rez science uniform but not the high rez Cerberus uniform. Get one but not the other.

Ah, I gotcha.  In that case, I'll just release a version that just has Chakwas' uniform.

In a bit of good news, here's another release! This is for Shepard's "Formal" outfit, which is part of the Kasumi DLC. Enjoy!

Another release, though this is a more minor one. This fixes Dr. Chakwas's very pixelated texture in Mass Effect 1.

It's good to be back :P

Up next is either Garrus or Legion; I haven't decided yet.  Either way, it's a lot of work.

When i start ME2 with your mods loaded with texmod game just goes to "not responding" state. Am I doing something wrong?

I downloaded your last mods, unfortunately the loading time has increased and it takes more than 5 minutes to launch the game now.
I fear I won't be able to install more mods in the future. :/

I am starting to wonder if this mod is becoming more trouble than it's worth.  The long load times are getting particularly annoying for me, as I need to wait usually 2 minutes or so between minor edits for the game to load.

Is anyone else feeling this way?  I'd prefer to know whether or not I'm starting to waste my time with this.

Someone needs to write a better version of texmod honestly. I have an ATI card and I found that the game is unplayable at max AA with your mods. :(

I'd say it depends on the character. Some of them (like Samara or Thane) already look pretty decent with their current textures. Others (like Jack or Legion) could certainly use an improvement.

Of course, I'm not really expecting anyone to fix Jack's body texture. Getting the details right on all those tatoos would probably be a bloody nightmare.

I don't think it's a waste of time. Personally, I only downloaded the mods for the characters I like the most and the one I often choose in my squad. So I still have a load time I can accept.
But, I think every characters deserve a HQ texture mod, and I'm sure a lot of players will be happy that you continue your amazing work. ;)

Fair enough.  BIOWARE!  Why don't you release a toolkit?! :(

Considering that ME2 runs on UE3, and that the UDK can't seem to handle ME2's upk files, I'd say Bioware made the ME games "unmodable" on purpose. Not sure what their reason is, but I highly doubt we will ever see official mod tools. We'll have to make do with the tools the community comes up with.

Jack is probably the character in most need of improvement (at least for her body, as you said).

Why not, instead of loading directly into Mass Effect, load it into 3dsmax to avoid the long load times between minor changes?

It's a good idea, but the main problem I've had with that is that the ingame shaders often handle the textures differently than 3dsmax does.  3dsmax might be vastly more realistic (my renders of Miranda and Tali quickly prove that), but I can't accurately reproduce the ingame shader.

Also long loading times aren't a problem(at least not for me). My Medieval 2 Total War with Stainless Steel starts up longer than ME2 with tex mod(and I have sth like 20 mods running). It's good time to get sth to drink, after all ME2 makes no sense if you are sober(but only if you are 18+, mind you).

I am trying to use your mods jeanluc, but i seem to have hit a problem. I am using a steam copy of ME2. I do the steps people have posted to get texmod to work, but when i load up the game, all i get is a black screen that i have to use ctrl+alt+delete to get out of. I am using windows 7 64 bit. any help is appreciated.

I know I need to finish the N7 armor

You are referring to the default armor, yes? :?
Or was it the "Heavy" armor from Mass Effect 1?

The 'old' ME1 heavy armour, you wear it on during opening 'mission', but through mods you can use it in game.
I know you asked about it, and if you want I can write a quick tutorial on how to get it working in game.

Honestly, the only hi-rez textures I want right now are the Garrus AAP1 and the Tali AAP2.
The entire recording process of ME2 for me has stopped because of this. I refuse to do their loyalty missions with out it.

But I can wait. Arrival will probably hold me off for a while.
