Thank you for your hard work, JeanLuc761!
All these high-res textures make ME2 even better.

And I was just playing ME2 and with all your high-rez textures making my screen look at pretty and such, it becomes apparent where Bioware dropped the ball on textures. The one that stands out the most is the "scientist" uniform that the basic NPCs (Gianna, Amanda Kenson, and almost every Asari on Illium...) wear (not Shepards/Chakwas) - not only is the texture terrible low resolution but the color maps are WAY off making colors bleed into other sections.
I'm sorry if this comes off bad since I really, REALLY hate requests - "I want this and this and this! Do this k?" Can be frustrating so feel free to disregard and go about as you please. I kinda just want to make a little nudge.

I'm definitely going to do this at some point though it's lower priority right now.QwibQwib wrote...
I know you have tons of projects lined up..is there a small chance that youcould replace the skins of ME1?
I already fixed that and will be releasing it in a massive texmod that gives high resolution textures to all the NPC's.MACharlie1 wrote...
Nice to see the N7 armor get an upgrade!

As most of you know, my current project is a Mass Effect 2/3 themed animation so just about all of my attention is on that. Since this project will require quite a few visible characters, I will definitely be releasing texmods as I go (though dammit Bioware, why did you have to change Garrus so much? So much extra texture work to keep it canon).
That said, I'm currently attempting to design a rather sizable landscape skybox for the surface of [REDACTED] so most of my time over the next few days (maybe even a couple weeks, I'm not sure) will be focused on that. I will gladly keep you all updated but I would like to be honest by saying that I wouldn't expect a new ME2 texture release for at least a week.

I just found this thread and I can't wait to download these wonderful looking textures. Just an issue however, the links don't seem to be working, on the website it says 'The file you are looking for seems to be unavailable at the moment. Please come back later.'
Any help?
Gamefront downloads were just down for a little while. They're back up now.

Are you sure you are choosing the proper executable (masseffect2bak, or whatever you called it), and not just the renamed TexMod?
It seems obvious, but it would match what you describe.
Yeah, I'm positive. I always rename the actual executable MassEffect2Original.exe and this worked for me before. I had been using texmod just fine and now it won't work properly.

I see there is some talk about using Texmod in this thread, and was wondering if anyone could help me with an apparent issue I'm having with it. I've been using it to fix Garrus' face, but every time I run it with a fix for him, it doesn't actually seem to do anything; his face is still all washed out.
Am I doing something wrong?

The .tpf file that you want to run should be selected from where you have it saved and listed in bottom right for package
Click run and it should work.

I often point people to this thread from other places on the internet, and it's much more convenient for them to have everything in one place, rather than having to search through the thread. Obviously, most of the textures are there, so I'm sure this is simply an oversight, but if you could add the Female N7 link to the first post, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeah, those are the steps I follow, yet Garrus's face stays the same low res mess it always was...The "backwards Earth" fix I use seems to work fine though.
EDIT: It just occured to me now that the problem might be because the Garrus fix I'm using uses his texture from ME2, which I do not own for PC; could that be why it's not working?

It shouldn't as they don't really effect each other. Maybe try D/L the Garrus fix again and see what happens.
