First off I gotta say, JeanLuc, you're a fvckin saint.  These textures upped the replay value of ME2 even after I've played it 8 times. I absolutely love what you did to Tali's suit with the rugged scuff marks everywhere, makes it so much more realistic.  And I always put Garrus in his AA outfit to fix the collateral damage, but not anymore. Sh!t looks sweet! I also looked back at my old ss of Jack with low-res tattoos and I died a little inside. So thanks, my friend.

Anyway, as superior as they are nowadays, there are always critiques. In front of Jack's hairline is another equally visible line in some lighting.

Not sure if it can be helped, and there's another joining of textures on her right shoulder that sort of misaligns her tattoo there, but I thought I'd point it out.

Keep up the good work.

Any chance you could do some more high res armor pieces? That would be awesome. =-)

I'm very much addicted to your Kestrel and N7 makeovers.

Maybe I am out of the loop, but the last post I saw from JeanLuc was about prepping for Hurricane Irene. Did everything go okay, up there?

Hope all is well.

I did indeed survive the storm, though we did get a 70 foot oak tree fall down (lengthwise, of all ways) on our driveway.

I apologize for the lack of any updates whatsoever in the last three weeks.  Between school and my job, it's not unreasonable to say that I'm working 60 hour weeks.  Suffice to say, my time to do textures has been somewhat limited :pinched:

I've been waiting very anxiously for the next chapter.  Your portrayal of the Overlord DLC was fantastic.

I hope you end up doing LotSB and Arrival at some point in order to "cap" the story.

Hey folks, something new for you. Due to popular request, I've created a revised version of Miranda that restores some of the smoothness to her skin, but still retains the high detail in the original mod. This will not replace the mod already uploaded, but it is an alternative for those who want it.<br />

Miranda Texture Mod - REVISED. Download Here

@JeanLuc - I'm seeing this thread late, but you have done some amazing work with these textures:wizard:. I am so willing to cope with the extra load time to get these awesome textures in game. With regards to the revised Miranda texture, this link is no longer active. Is there any chance you can post it on the OP (couldn't see it - also only up to page 13 catching up)

Cheers

I'll update all the links when I get a chance.  Work and school are a time-drainer right now.

Does anybody have anomaly fps drop if you're using Texmod with any retexture?

JeanLuc761

use Dropbox for your mods, and your links won't die.

It does indeed seem like half my links have gone dead.  I'll try to get them fixed tonight.

Alright, I'm happy to report that I've stopped being lazy (translated: I actually have some free time tonight!), not only have I started fixing links but I'm also putting the finishing touches on a heavily revised Tali, using some of the techniques I learned working on the later characters.

Alright then, Tali has officially been updated. You can grab the new download here, and in the OP!

Tali'Zorah w/visible face

All of these fixes are part of a (hopeful) gearing up for a more major public release. To date, this mod has not been published on any gaming news site and, while I'm certainly not arrogant enough to think this is in any way a large-scale project, it would be cool to get more traffic for the mod itself.

Regardless of the outcome, I want to sincerely thank you all for putting up with my ridiculous delays and supporting me throughout. I have learned a lot while working on this project, and I'm very pleased with the result and I'm continually thrilled to see other people enjoying it.

I know it's an old post, but I'm interested if that can be somehow "cured". It's the place where Jack's head mesh has been "cut" (her head has 4 of 'em if I remember, eyelashes, face, head, eyeballs + jaw). Another software I'm using, reads every mesh part separately, thus generates light on them differently, seems like ME2 does this too. On the beginning I thought that's the fault of the textures, so I was repainting them endlessly without any result.

Luc, any chance you would release Jack's textures in .tga format? For... posing purposes. Of course you'd be properly credited for your work.

I don't suppose we'll be getting an Optimized version of 'Tali'Zorah w/visible face'

Also in previous post I asked whether Grunt was available in optimized separate from the pack.

Unfortunately, Tali's texture flat-out does not work at 2048x2048 (translated; it doesn't scale down well), so an optimized version simply isn't in the cards.

As far as Grunt's optimized pack goes, you can download that here.

Would you be able to revamp your Colossus X mod too? or reupload the original and replace the link?
Thanks.

I got the mods running but they really hurt the frame rate - I read somewhere that ati cards have a problem with texmod and that there may be a fix  - any one have any ideas on this?  (running 6850s in xfire)

Not sure about anyone else - I'm running (a newly upgraded) i5-2500, 16GB RAM, HD5770 1GB, Win7 Ult 64bit - and apart from the obligatory ~5min wait to load after adding in my 10-odd mods, the only time i notice any major fps drop is in the same place as most others - CIC and any holographic area (TIM, certain areas on Citadel) - otherwise it sits around the ~50fps.

I also have the latest Catalyst drivers loaded, but have not touched any catalyst settings, vanilla install of it.
