Can someone help me understand which of these mods works in Mass Effect 1? Is it just anything that applies to characters that appear in 1? For example will any garrus or tali mod from this project work in ME1? I ask because the mods don't seem to be labeled for 1 or 2 except for the Garrus face fix. Thanks.

Sheploo ME1, Dr.Chakwas ME1, and Garrus face fix are for ME1. With these three he has written Mass Effect 1 in parenthesis in their description under the thumb nails. The rest are all ME2. If you are looking for more Mass Effect 1 textures check my profile and you'll find some ;)

Thanks for the clarification, CDAMJC. I actually just installed your full pack before I posted here, that was my first experience with texmod and it went smoothly once I applied the large address aware patch. I only played for 5 minutes, the biggest improvement I noticed was the textures on the Keepers. Very nice.

Id like to request the high res male shepard without the hair changed. it looks super dark with the mod. i like the default gray around the edges.

Love your work, it makes the game so much more enjoyable

First off, thank you JeanLuc for these amazing textures! They're all perfect, though I did end up rather spoilt XD - I was kind of disappointed to see they basically recycled everyone's looks in ME3 (save for Garrus and Jack, I guess).

Speaking of, either I missed it or it didn't come up in the thread - has anyone successfully used these textures as-is in ME3? Or will someone have to redo the ME3 textures with these current ones so they work? I really want to use some of these, especially for Tali - one would think that being a returning squadmate would get you a texture revamp, at least.

Just curious.

What do you mean by "sometimes"? The alpha that gives shine to this armor is very "touchy". The darker the diffuse of the armor, the stronger the gloss. You have to darken that alpha channel too. I don't remember if that was the alpha contained in the diffuse or in the specular map (prob diffuse, specular map usually contains emissive maps as alpha, but like I said, don't remember, thou I retextured this armor a lot for ME2, see my sig).

Sometimes TexMod will load the texture like this:

Sometimes like the latex black. Very random which one. Varies from load to load. Texture remains constant in between module loads. When this first happened - I removed all other textures but the specular. At first it worked but then I loaded it again and the black latex showed up. 

And in certain lighting...

And behold, it worked today...tomorrow it will be black latex again...:pinched:

Personally, if i could get Liara in the, as you called it "Black Latex" mode all the time, it'd always get used. Look fantastic (however un-intentional it may be :lol:)

Just thought I'd drop this here. I've modified (or created? I can't remember if JeanLuc's Thane had the norm map) using an incredibly easy to use (if I can use it, it's easy) program. This was the result.

As far as I know - no. :( JeanLuc761 refused to work with ME3. I'm not sure why. His work is very good. I hope he comes back. )))

Discouraged by the ending resulting in no desire to fix it up and at the time, we weren't sure if TexMod can get you banned from Origin (it can't).

I have a problem, some of the files are seen as rar not tpf. Texmod won't read these files.

How do I fix this problem?
