Already have! I'd like to let him keep his own style though while I do mine; that will give people more options for how they want their game to look.Emeka Uwazurike wrote...
So glad ur back JL! I don't know what it was, but I just had an urge to check in on this forum again. If you aren't yet, you should get in touch with Smarteck over at

Also, the new "official" thread for these texture mods is now located here.

A few hours work and we've got our first official ME3 release (well, from me anyway).
Download Tali's Default Outfit (4096) here.
As the link says, that mod is ONLY for Tali's default outfit. I'm releasing each outfit separately this time to reduce loading times and file size as much as possible.
Coming soon:
1) Making Ashley look like her old self (ME1/ME2 style)
2) Finish porting over ME2 mods to ME3 (Legion will be next)
It's good to be back.
Actually several of your mods have already been ported to ME3. Smartek did it with Legion, Tali, Zaeed, Grunt, and Samara. I'm not all sure which ones you did but I know your Tali and Legion were ported over as I have used them. Of course in this case you've updated Tali's texture.
But there are a lot of mods being worked on which you can track here:
http://social.biowar...index/9735492/1
We are up to around 80 or 90 mods at this point with more incoming.
Some examples from several contributors:

There is a lot of great work being done in that thread.

I actually ended up checking those ports and it looks like they were missing my normal maps which is required for the full effect. Smarteck is doing some great work, but I'd definitely like to keep giving the textures my own treatment.Dead_Meat357 wrote...

Yeah he's not big on normal maps but his texture work is solid. Some of his work includes normal maps but they were all made by someone else I believe in colaboration with him. I myself actually do normal maps on all my mods. Early mods of mine didn't because I didn't know how to do it originally. I went back and corrected that. And In fact I've gone back and created normal maps for some of his work. Though I haven't made those available to others yet.
And I've gone back and redone several of mine a couple of times until they were "good enough." I'm doing an update to Ashley right now as I noticed a couple things with it recently. The N7 Defender armor and Collector armors are probably my favorites that I've done. Ashley being a close third, but I am always finding something I can do better on hers.

Edit: There it goes, finally, took like 11 minutes and 1.4GB of memory
Another edit: Is there a specific level of texture detail I should set? I just killed Saren (I don't know if you textured him) and I noticed it doesn't seem to look any better than the ugly normal one. I left it at medium settings since I thought the textures would be overridden regardless of detail.

You gotta link the renamed .exe file (the original one) as Target Application! It's a glitch (if you like to call it that) in steam, that you have to rename the texmod.exe to masseffect.exe in order to work with steam. So if you set that renamed texmod.exe as target application, it opens itself again, of course. Set the former original .exe (should be something like masseffecttexmod.exe now) as target, and you're good to go!

I recently finished ME1 with CDAMJCs and Your Mods and started ME2 yesterday.
I have read a few treads about TexMod and ME and just wanted to ask if there are any good news about the FPS-loss when using TexMod with ME2?
I suffered from the annoying graphic-glitches in ME1 and was happy not to see them in ME2. But that FPS-drop makes me crazy. I have a new rig with a good GPU (3072MB Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970), the game runs smooth 60 FPS without TexMod and drops down to 20 in certain places.
A few peoply are convinced that it's a AMD-TexMod problem, but there are Nvidia users with the same issues. I have changed and tested different AA settings, disabled the Catalyst Control Panel but this changes nothing.
Has anybody fixed this issue or/and can give me some advice, settings, alternatives as I love the mods and playing without them fells like the game is broken somhow.
Thanks.

Yeah, me too. I can't download the ultra Zaeed and the default Tali.notamusingatall wrote...
I seem to be getting 403 and 404 errors on the Gamefront-hosted ME2 textures for Liara, Kestrel Armor, etc. (anything but the Squadmate textures.) Can anyone confirm it's not just me? Also, are there any mirrors?
Would someone please upload them to another website? Thanks.

without the mod it runs like butter.
I even tried the optimized pack in your other thread... same issue.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried this on a SSD and 8GB+ high clocked performance memory with LAA mod and seeing how well it performs. It might be an issue of how the texture loads with makes loading really high res textures stressful.
And by highly clocked memory I'm talking about 1800Mhz+
But if that doesn't affect it at all and still runs into moments of 16fps then there's something else going on.

Are you running ATI or nVidia? What care
ATI 4850
but from what I have read is that is also poses a problem for nvidia as well.
I also have run the ME1 Texture pack flawles.... okay buggy issues but no frame drops like this
