I just got a new dual core Windows XP machine and it's running NWN great, but the Toolset is running at such a fast speed that I can't move the camera around at all. Just clicking on a button zooms the camera all over the place super fast. It's like running an old DOS game on a modern computer without a CPU slower utility. Is there any solution to this issue ? I had a great idea for a module today and I'd really like to be able to build it !
NWN Toolset running WAY too fast

It's been like that for many years for me, nothing new.
What you should do is use your mouse instead.
Press and hold your keyboard [LEFT_SHIFT] key, position your mouse pointer on the
viewport (over the area) press and hold LEFT_BUTTON to pan (Forward, Back, left, right) OR the RIGHT_BUTTON to pan (Up, Down, Spin right, Spin Left)
Try that

Okay. It's not the Shift keys, It's the left CTRL key that does it. It can move the map around nicely, but since I have a two button mouse, I can't zoom in or out using the mouse and just clicking on one of the zoom buttons on the toolset either drops me straight to the ground or takes me way up into orbit with no in between zoom. <_<
Isn't there some kind of ini file setting fix for this ?

Sorry yeah, the control key.
You can also use the your keyboard's Num Keypad to move around like 1&3 will go up and down, 7&9 will spin left-right, 2&8 move forward-backward and 4&6 move left-right. Also you can use the
Num Keypad +/- Zoom In-Zoom out

Thanks. Well, It's a workaround, I guess. I just wish there was a setting to adjust for it. Oh well. We ARE dealing with a really old game that I'm sure the company doesn't even support any more.

There one in nwtoolset.ini you have to change too
CPU Affinity=1
Give that a try too

Changing CPU Affinity in the ini file doesn't work. I guess I'll probably have to get used to using the mouse and key combinations.

Once you fill the area up with placeables it goes back to being it's old slow self.

Same problem here, haven't been able to find anything in various forum searches that helps me... The mouse and key combo's help, though. And Jenna's right, filling it with placeables causes the buttons to scroll at normal speed... until the placeables exit the viewer. Then you're suddenly going lightspeed again.
