Yeah, killing him at the end of Mass Effect 1 disappointed me as I hoped he'd be an antagonist throughout the trilogy we could identify with (due to the fact that the Reapers aren't, and Saren is so much like Shepard that it's unnerving,) but he died and the Collectors tried to replace him (and failed to in our hearts.)

AS much as i'd want it, Saren should stay dead. He was, IMO, the most badass bad guy in the history of video games. ME2 really screwed up with the collectors, hopefully ME3 can make the bad guy (Most likely a high ranking reaper) actually make the player care about the the villain.

While I acknowledge Saren's mastery of badassness, I do think that more than one resurrection stretches it a bit too much. Another badass Turian who we lost way too early was Nihlus. Those were the first too Turians we met and they make all others (I allow for an exception for Garrus) look like kids playing in the sandbox.

This probably the best way to bring back Saren. As such, I think this says a lot about the other ways to bring back Saren.

He was an incredibly made character, but bringing him back would just screw up the series. Every series has room for just about one ridiculous plot element (in Mass Effect's case, bringing Sheppard back to life). One more would just kill the immersion.

Alright, I just came up with something that could both 'bring him back' in a way and still help the storyline. Say Shepard needs to find out everything he can about the reapers, and he's run out of options. If you read the books, Saren found info on Sovereign fron Qian. Say he takes this info back to his base of operations, or just his apartment or something, and makes a bunch of holos recording his findings or whatever. Shepard finds this base of operations and finds all the holos Saren had taken of himself recording his findings. In this way, it brings back Saren for a mission and helps Shepard defeat the reapers.

Why ruin such a amazing character by bringing him back from the dead? Shepard getting killed and coming back from the dead was bad enough, if they do it with Saren too it will just be ridiculous.

I believe you mean "failed to in your  heart"...I was very content with the villains. I didn't hate Saren...didn't really care about him at all, but I loathe Harbinger.

Saren wasn't all that great. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't bad, he fit his purpose in ME1's story, but 'bringing him back' would make him a comic-book villain, no thanks.

ME 2 should have a pinnacle station download that is seperate from the main game where you can play as Saren and shoot Volus's or Elcor with giant fricken' lazer beams attached to their head



I am actually kind of serious. I want to play a "Horde mode/Invasion/Firefight/Pinnacle Station" where I can choose which skin to play as. For glory and epicness.
