ok......it might have been addressed before but......is that carver in the background? and.......if that IS carver and not Hawke (who is depicted as a mage in the previous screen) WHY does Hawke look so......uhm....buff while summoning that spell? he looks WAY larger than the character next to him...possible phyiscal buff for close combat?

Might be a Qunari mage? Given the brief but curious description of the Qunari attitude towards mages we've had so far, this would be interesting.

I think it is just the posture. The three-quarters perspective makes him look wider, while the out stretched arms once more makes him look wider.

Edit: allright I don't know what happened here, I just wanted to fix one word.

@Shinian2

The sreenshots are from the Dragon Age 2 page, the one about Aveline.

Those bits over the breasts are ridiculous. It's like she's trying to protect as little as possible. Anyone else think that armor her opponent is wearing looks mighty odd?

It could be an Enlarge Spell that is in effect, it could be an enemy Templar or other spellcasting class with armor.

I hate her "armor", cause it isn't armor, it's an apron.

Heh, I almost said that.... And she is actually wearing a shirt, for which I suppose I should be grateful. It could just be the apron.

I actually like the apron because it feeds into my theory that she was a town blacksmith before having to run from lothering.

THey specifically mentioned they gave her intentionally beefy arms + big leathery apron is all that fuels my theory so far. Other than the fact that it would be pretty cool (and not as historically innacurate as people think, apperantly old guild rolls from ye olde england shows that women tended to make up 10% of blacksmiths)

I like lady warriors and ladyblacksmiths, so a ladywarrior dressed as a ladyblacksmith makes me happy.

 Well, that would be cool and would take away my objection to the garment in principle, but not in execution. It still doesn't make sense that if she was working with hot metal that was likely to send off shards, the apron would cover so little of her chest. Metal burns only matter in the nipple area?

It looks very...unmetal. Thin and pliant like fabric. Kind of like tweed armor.

The enemies knee is not fluid yet, the polygons just break instead of stretching. It is an early gameplay pic
