Hi Everyone
Sorry I am a little behind on this, but you should all know that teh fine folks at G33KWATCH are currently running a marathon Gameplay session of Mass Effect (including DLC and ME2) to raise money for Child's Play charity.
I'm not knocking this or anything... but... Desert Bus I get. I don't understand what playing both Mass Effects multiple times is supposed to accomplish. I keep seeing these copycat game runs for Child's Play (and they are copycat, no matter if that is a positive or negative to the sum) popping up. I don't get it. With Desert Bus, there is a system in place to regulate donations, they drive until the amount of money required for them to go an extra hour is inaccessible. With a linear game like Mass Effect, that has a set number of quests and secrets.... how do you regulate that?
I wish them luck, but I don't get it.

They set up goals for each level of donation achieved: if they reached X dollars, X character would survive. If they got X dollars, they would perform a certain action (like get a tattoo or do condiment shots). Pretty simple concept.

So it's official now, then?
For a while they were doing a very good job emulating Bioware. "We haven't announced anything yet..."
