Robin is the Development Manager

* Framed narrative
* New artstyle "It's grimmer. It's bloodier. It's sexier."
* Old enemies and new enemies
* New, more responsive combat engine
* "You press a button - something awesome happens!"
* "Think like a general, but fight like a Spartan."

Because we Dragon Age fans are a mature bunch, I'm sure we won't act like the Mass Effect crowd and spend pages discussing her appearance.

Heh, if I'd read your summary, I would have saved myself a couple of minutes. Stopped listening at 'push a button--something awesome happens.' Done with that.

I Have to say, DA2 has very lousy marketing.

* "You press a button - something awesome happens!"
* "Think like a general, but fight like a Spartan."

Both of these Are Terrible

Terrible.
Leaked videos which "don't represent the actual gameplay", the Staff or Parthalan...

And also, the whole spartan thing, the "push a button and see the awesome happening", phew...

Still not as terrible as the old ME2 PR lines.

So, nothing we didn't already know with a mix of marketing spiel. Awesome. The marketing lines are just so bad..

ME 2's slogan was "Fight the Future."

Is it odd the way they really don't want to let us know anything about the actual game? Just constant references to "cool stuff" . . . .

At this point, I think we've already surpassed DA:O's terribly embarrassing marketing run.

Wait, it was "Fight for the Lost."

The assumption seems to be that any interview/trailer could be someone's first interview/trailer and it's more important to slant everything to someone who's seeing things for the first time as opposed to those of use who sit around eagerly awaiting new scraps of info and devouring them like ravenous wolves.

whenever i think of spartans i remember that line from "Meet the Spartans"

Messenger: [Leonidas has kissed the Persian's messenger on the mouth] What the hell was that?

Leonidas: What?

Messenger: You just kissed me!

Leonidas: That is how men great each other in Sparta: high-fives for the women

[high-fives Margo]

Leonidas: and open-mouthed tongue kisses for the men!

Dragon Age marketing should be infamous for being unbelievably cheesy and cringe worthy by now, all the videos/previews look amazing but all the slogans and tag lines make it sound horrible.

My summery is here to make your internet time a bit more efficient. It's the only way we'll beat Japan in the tech race.

I'm starting to have that impression.

At some point, they really have to start  . . you know, showing us something.  Constantly telling us how "cool" or "awesome" it is really stops cutting it quickly.

Sure, the preview vids look good - but they're not gameplay footage (see, Sacred Ashes trailer) so . . . once I know that, the fact that the trailer looks good doesn't do much for me.

Stole my lunch money.

And yeah, the advertising slogans are kinda cheesy but I think maybe they are supposed to be cheesy? Hopefully anyway. I'd cringe every time if I worked for Bioware and had to say those lines on a regular basis.
