Where is the "on-line" play?

It goes on line for the DLC and I have purchased everything that is available but I have yet to see anything in the way of another player on line so far.
Soooooo, where are they?
Where is the MMO of the game?
To me it seems like just another single player roll playing game.
Any useful information would be appreciated.

I agree that it amazed me how little people know about a game that they're buying or have bought. This was never intended to be an online game.

Much appreciated.
I never understood why gamers always seem to feel compelled to do that in an effort to look smart and cool at the expense of someone who is simply asking a legitimate question.
The box does say single player, unless you go on line and get the DLC to allow for on line play.
So am I really so foolish to make that connection and ask that question?

Nothing but condescending and derogatory flames for responses.
I am sorry now that I ever bought the damn game.
Not because of the misunderstanding but because of you degenerate people.
You people are a shameful welcoming committee.
Where is the moderator anyway?
Worst community ever!
Sorry that I ever came here for any kind of answer form you people.

I know this is not on the same line of the beat down on Destn..
But anyone else getting to the tower to light the becon and finding the demon there and cannot get it below 50%? Have made 2 char and got to the same spot both times and getting my head handed to me every try..
All n all Great game and sweet looking and running..

EA has never made any bones about this being a single player and not a multiplayer game, but the way it was hyped could easily give someone the mistaken notion that there would be on-line play, and not just on-line sales of additional "stuff" for your character. In fact, the microtransaction notion in itself could easily make someone think that there would be on-line play, since that paradigm hasn't really penetrated into single player games -- yet.
And honestly? I wish it hadn't. It lessens the experience, at least for me. YMMV.

I took out the ogre first try, and to say that, I don't mean that is was easy - I lost Al and dog in the process - it was just the mage and me (warrior) left (mage got the killing blow in, dammit!)
Try adjusting your tactics, is really all I can say. You'll get 'im.

A moderator would've closed your troll thread the moment he saw it without ever having to read replies.
There are several possibilities:
1. You're a troll and a very bad 1 at that.
2. You're a 10 year old who got his mum to buy it after seeing 1 advert and had no idea what the game was.
3. You're just an idiot (same as 1 and 2 really)
I'd say the community is entitled to laugh at blatant trolls/imbeciles, calling it bad for that doesn't make it so.
