I am not a kid, I am 39 and an engineer, I bought the game for my son who is, yes over 18 and incidentally a lot more mature minded than any of you so go ahead and make fun of that too.
Your own lives must be pretty pathetic when all you can do is berate other people in order to feel better about yourselves and impress your peers.
This was my first posting and all I wanted was some questions answered and not to be a part of this community of hooligans.
I am not a "Troll" and yes I know exactly what that means , and I really don't qualify as an idiot either go right ahead and accuse me of whatever you want.
I think you lot have berated me as much as possible now anyway and I can see exactly what kind of mentality I am dealing with here so I understand that I have no place being here in this forum or asking any questions that you people deem foolish.
Have your fun, you have successfully made me unwelcome in this forum so I will just have to find my information someplace else.

Shouldn't your 18 year old be buying his own games? Hell my 15 year old just bougt his own copy of MW2.

Your 15 yr old just bought a game rated Mature? (17+) That seems slightly off...

It's very nice how most of the people who posted all of those insane things edited their postings and removed the horrible things that they said calling me all kinds of partitive names.

Well. I don't know if they did it or a moderator did but many of the postings have changed with the exception of a few.

I expect that profanities and hate speech is prohibited in the forum so thanks for removing it.

It looks much more civilized now.

If you people say things like that on line it wouldn't be much of a surprise if you get banned.

Guuuuys.......!

Rule 14 of the internet clearly states the following:

Do not argue with a troll — it means that they win.

Yo are all in obvious violation.

when you act confused about something that is answered on the back of the games box, people assume you're either a troll, or deserving of insult. just the nature of the beast, getting upset wont change that.

Oh, am I back to being a "troll" again now?
So any posting outside of your little clique of on-line hooligan friends is considered to be trolling the forums?
How exactly does someone become something other than a "troll" then?
Please explane that to me Errel

Is that your criteria for determining that someone is a "troll"?

If a person is confused about something even if it is explaned on the back of the box, doesn't it make sense to ask other more experienced  people about it?
Is that being a "troll"?
Trolling is the act of instigating flame wars in a forum.
Game vs game, console vs console etc.
I think you people here throw that term atound far too freely.
Perhaps you don't even know what the term is intended to mean and you just use it to discribe anyone that you don't particularly like for any reason, like "noob".

"Troll" and "Fanboy" are the two most commonly misused terms on any game forum.

Well, you are right about that but since some of the less educated people here imediately started attacking me I thought that I may just protract the discussion a little bit longer in order to gain more insight into the wonderful world of gaming and the type of people who participate in it.
So far though it has been a rather sad commentaty.
But thanks for asking.

This thread should have died a long time. It was always obvious that this game never had multiplayer. End of discussion.

If you're not trolling, they your intellectual capabilities are sub-par at least. I'd rather be a troll than an idiot.

This thread needs more love, that you can confuse a singleplayer RPG with an MMO is awesome. I for one hail and obey our new Multipass overlords!

Multipass!

Who are you, Sigmund Freud? Doing some kind of research for a psychology dissertation? You started a thread asking a completely ridiculous question that could have been easily answered by 5 seconds of research on your part. Then, when you get understandably snarky responses, you are surprised by them? And, by pressing the issue, you are now asking for it, IMO. Each post you make leans more towards you being a troll indeed.

good god I hate MMOs. Rather play with friends a good boardgame of Heroscape or Cosmic Encounter.

I think they should consider OnLine play for DA2. If not, people will set up persistent world servers based on DA:O and not be willing to revamp for new features that would be really cool.

You don't spend much time on the internet do you Destn?

The reaction in this thread has been very mild actually. You may have had a valid question in your mind, however asking it here was akin to going up to a bunch of football fans and asking them why the end posts didn't have a net between them.

To not expect some serious ribbing after that is more than a bit naive.

Destn - the internet is full of kids or adults acting like kids for many different reasons. They can come and flame people like you asking a innocent question because they either got dumped, lost their job, or maybe simply aren't content with their current basement-dwelling life with empty pizza-cartoons around the floor and a dad that pays their internet-bill. Their way of taking out aggressions and frustrations is to make sad attempts at insulting people like you.

I did not really read that much about the game lately, and all I remembered was that it would probably have multiplayer - something stated by the developers back in time. Although I think multiplayer would be awesome in this game - I still really like it as it is now. The story is marvelous! You shouldn't regret buying the game and play it - I'm sure you'll be happy with it anyway.

I haven't seen anything about on-line play since I have had the game.
It goes on line for the DLC and I have purchased everything that is available but I have yet to see anything in the way of another player on line so far.
Soooooo, where are they?
Where is the MMO of the game?
To me it seems like just another single player roll playing game.
Any useful information would be appreciated.

/facepalm.
