Before i start, to avoid the question of whats your system specs, ill add them here although they dont really contribute to the problem as i know i can run it.

OS: windows 7 64-bit
CPU: i7 960 3.2GHz
Graphic Card(s): Nvidia GTX480 1.5gb in SLI
HD: 2tb raid 0
Ram: 12gb
(all up to date drives and the games a physical copy)

Ok now thats over with i would like to get to my problem. About 2 months ago i installed mass effect on my new pc, worked great had the BDtS dlc and all the patches, after this i left it for a month and a bit. As i went to play it i could not reach my character which had the dlc attached to it. So i started to investigate and found the patches and dlc not to be working. So i went about installing the patches and the dlc.

Now heres the confusing part, i entered my code for the dlc and it installed but i had to reinstall it agian due to a bad install. This time the setup page that has the green bar to show progress of the install came up. It was validating install files. Next thing i know is the game says install failed. Great... so i tried again and the same thing happened.

At the time of writing this i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game along with the patches but the dlc keeps saying the same thing. So please please please help me i would like to play me game LOL

There is a warning about that method causing major windows problems. Especially with this pc being a family pc, I really can't afford a slight stuff up. With that being said I know I need to back it up but I have very little time on my hands thus anything that takes awhile I really have no Time for. So thank you very much and if worse comes to worse I might take take sometime off, but I would like to see if there are any other ways.

Thanks

I have the same problem with my BDtS DLC on my new Win7 PC, but I'm not brave enough to meddle with my registry to fix it. Since I bought via digital download on EA Store, I'll probably eventually re-buy the game since each digital copy's only good for downloading for 18 months--hopefully then BDtS will work again with a new key. Not good if you have computer problems or decide to upgrade your PC. The DLC definitely does not have as many installs as the base game, but I think I used mine several times, so rather than once I think you can use it somewhere around 3-5 times.

If i didnt annoy ea about this i would have to buy a new game and thats unfair to say the least considering i dont want to tamper with the registry and pirates can get away with out this problem

I just downloaded the installer for Bring Down the Sky last night but for some reason I can't get access to a CD key. The website that has the DLC hardly even works anymore, every time I enter a new page it becomes unresponsive, maybe it has something to do with Chrome but I cannot be sure until I try Firefox or something.

It's not chrome as I use it, I suggest u use ie though for these sort of things if u have problems with other browsers. It seems to be very good at downloading but that's just me believing it does
