I believe Mike Laidlaw said (here) that it's about the same level as Origins was.
I did, yep. And will say so again!
Oh, and there's some longer hairs than we had in Origins too. So that's nice. And potentially squee-inducing.
Official SQEEEEEE!!!!
I know one of the hardest things to animate is hair, so I'm glad we're getting longer hairstyles. Part of it, I think, is because they always go through whatever clothes/armor the character is wearing or simply looks glitchy. But a long ponytail (with nice bangs please) would be just enough for me

As for long hair for both M & F Hawke, I would definitely like to see some flow and texture, and many styles to choose from.

Male, female or both?
Gay Hawke demands to be fabulous!

So I'm wondering which approach DA2 is going to take. I'd personally much prefer the DA:O system, but am concerned that given that DA2 is all about Hawke, it'll go down the ME2 route.
If I'm not mistaken, it's more about the engine behind it than the developers wishes. I prefer the 'fabulous' DA models.

I am really hoping beards sit better on face textures in DA2. One of my big beard pet-peeves of DAO was the floating beard issue. I hated seeing my beard or sideburns floating to the side of my face. I am hoping the heavy beard emphasis on Hawke will render this problem obsolete.

Not to mention on consoles the wardens face would cave in if you gave him a beard, and had no workaround like the PC

I want hair physics and full body customization in future DA titles. Make it so BioWare.

I'm not suggesting they scrap it. Most people aren't as discerning about these types of things as I am. But I'd like an alternative choice of a few static, hand-modeled heads to stick on my character. I just want a PC that looks as good and distinctive as the companions for once. Fat chance of that happening, though.

Good noses
No meth-addict face when dealing with facial hair
This is what I hope for.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about occasional clipping, but my characters just don't look right with short hair. Yes, it's ridiculous to get excited about something so trivial, but if my PC looks like everyone else you meet in the game, it gets depressing.

By longer hairs, how long are we talking?
I know you guys definitely didn't create one to match my cascading hair that goes halfway down my back, but if you guys have something that's at least slightly below shoulder length, I'd be a happy Prince.
