Just wondering if Awakening has any romance options available in it...

Is it more of everything dragon age (story, fighting, romance), or is it only one or two of the three?

In a word, no. There are no romance options in DAA (at least not without mods). You can get the "love" condition on all your recruited wardens, but that affects the epilog slides and not much else.

Or almost all of them. I've never gotten Oghren or Nathaniel to 'love' my Warden. Otherwise, yeah, not a single bit of difference.

The love thing is a bug - Anders and I think Justice can get there, but I've always had Nathaniel and Sigrun stay at 100 warm.

Velana always loves my Wardens. What can I say... they're charmers.

Hmm... so some of my other friends (one of whom is a huge Dragon Age fan)... said that Awakening was pretty lackluster relative to Dragon Age: Origins. Should I skip it seeing as I thought DAO was too long (but still generally enjoyable)? I also like romance in my games... so if it doesn't even have that....eh... idk. Not really especially interested in another 30 hours of pixel bashing, load screens, and WASD, but maybe you guys can convince me to get it if Steam puts it on sale and it has more redeeming qualities than I'm assuming it will..

Then again, it apparently DOES have Oghren in it, right? He was a hilarious character... be nice to have him in my adventuring party again maybe. Will he show up in Dragon Age 2? Maybe I should just wait for that..?

But I did really like the Mass Effect series... so maybe I should just re-play that on winter break, and maybe get some DLC if they have some that are almost expansion-pack size.

It's fun. Length shouldn't be a problem, it runs pretty quick.

If the price is right, get it. You won't regret it. It adds some great companions and banter, plus some of the most challenging battles and skirmishes that are alot of fun.

I've gotten both Nate and Sigrun to love as well.

I wonder if those Feast Day pranks cakes would get Mhairi to love?

So I was just looking at the Steam store page, and it says that Dragon Age: Awakening has "Sexual content" in it. Knowing that Steam's store info hasn't been entirely correct in the past, I double checked it with the ESRB itself, and it says that the PC version does indeed contain "sexual content." If there's no romances in the game, why did the ESRB say it has that?

If you remove all armor, the characters walk around in their undies.  That's 'sexual' according to some.

There's some sexually suggestive humor in it.  That's enough to put that rating on a VG.

lol... hilarious. but even NWN1 showed characters in their undies if they took their armor off, yet didn't get that label from the ESRB. Maybe they're getting more strict or something I guess.

Actually I think it has more to do with the fact that DAO has "soft porn" (sex in undies) scenes that explicitly describ sexual activity and DAA can not be played without DAO being installed.

I've gotten Anders and Velanna at "love". I also got Justice there, which is creepy. An animated half-decomposed corpse "in love" just defines...creepy.

No one else has gotten to love, though. Don't even remember "friendly" on most of them.

Thats sad.... I mean that was fun to romance with Morrigan in the Origins....

I always loved these options in Dragon Age.
Since I'm a Grey Warden I can get any girl I want....Its like I'm James Bond... and I was always acting like that in the Origins and DA II.
