There were a couple sad moments in the game. Tali finding her father, David on Overlord, Erinya.

The worst still has to be Jacks' rejection scene though. Maybe i'm biased, being a total Jack fan, but that was absolutely gut wrenching. Garrus's rejection also pretty horrible, but not quite the same level.

When Shepard dies at the start, and if Garrus dies, he'slike mt sheps best friend, also if anyone died at the end the whole looking at the coffin things is rather bad.

-I thought it was pretty sad when Legion was replaying the first time a geth asked a quarian if it had a soul. He just looked and acted so defeated it was really heartbreaking.

-Tali with her father dying was also pretty sad.

-Kasumi's "reunion" with Keiji in his greybox, she really loved him.

-I Thane, but is it bad that I found his romance scene not sad but really passionate and beautiful? It's one of my favorite scenes...

Tali's dad end of overlord. Watching everyone die on SM isn't so much sad as just down right depressing. The saddest thing about the series is that I'm going to miss the characters after it's over (not that I want them to be drug on forever and die a death of a thousand sequels but I do want some closure). I hate to see characters I've grown attached to go away or be stuck in a limbo just so the publisher has something to pull out later to make more money. Damn KotOR 2 for creating such a mystery surrounding Revan then turning into an MMO that I'll have to pay for monthly to see the story. Damn you Bungie and your cliffhanger ending to Halo 3.

The Mako was the best  ever! I drove up vertical mountains in it.

What do you think makes metal gear series more dramatic??

I only played the second and fourth one but I was laughin my ass off for most of 4. The writing is so straightforward and obvious, it's pretty pathetic. Hideo Kojima has such a God complex. He really needs to hire some editors.

Renegade option on Pragia, though it's probably more depressing than sad. Gettting Jack to kill Aresh and Shepard convincing her that she'll always be nothing more than a killer. One of the only moments where renegade means totally evil.

I was pretty bummed when Tali got hit in the head by a rocket on the suicide mission because I had thought Samara would make a good squad leader. (Miranda and Garrus were in my party)



That in the second part of the mission getting Thane killed because his shields didn't last.



As for emotional character development I thought Thane reuniting with his son was a pretty sad storyline. Not a lot of room for progress when you have a limited time to live. Tali's inability to touch Sheppard, Miranda first being betrayed by and then watching her friend get killed.
