I convince Cammen to let me get a pelt for him, and he tells me how grateful he is, but immediately afterwards he refuses to speak to me: "There is nothing more to speak of. Go away!" and is generally hostile, as if I had ****ed his girlfriend, which I haven't even spoken to.

Same thing happens when I get him a pelt or when I tell im first I could speak to Gheyna and then speak to him again afterwards. After our first conversation, no matter how it went, he is hostile. I think on another playthrough I managed to get him a pelt. Maybe this is a new bug introduced in 1.04?

(There was a thread about this problem, but it went off in a different direction, without getting solved)

Ok, jokes aside, I haven't noticed this bug since I never help him. I guess it could've been introduced in the latest patch. Does he react like that after you give him the pelt or after you agree to get it for him?

If you sleep with Cammen after agreeing to get the Pelt for him and/or speak to Gheyna after agreeing to get the pelt for him, he won't take it. You have to either give it to him immediately or stop talking, kill the wolves and give him the pelt with no other options explored.

Yeah, you know as my Dalish Warden Lenya saw Cammen, she recognized that she had chosen her bondmate wisely...with picking Alistair.

I use Dalish Elves Beautified (for Cammen, and ONLY Cammen, for obvious reasons), so it's a different situation: (I don't care for the other "improvements", but THAT one was necessary)



I had big ears too as a child, so I sympathise. And isn't his broken voice just adorable?


Anyway, thanks for the less-than-helpful but entertaining suggestions, I found out the problem: It was Qwinn's Fixpack that broke the quest. I disabled it for that time and everything worked as it should.

I don't know so many people disliked Cammen, until I banged Gheyna. He does not deserve such an easily swayed tender morsel as her. She is just lucky gettin' Wardened up means my Warden is only half as potent as the Maker intended.

I appear to have got this bug as well. (PC version.) I agreed to get Cammen his pelt and I haven't talked to Ghenya at all, but he now refuses to talk to me, and no longer has the arrow above his head. (Notably, after I booted up a much earlier reload, the quest seemed to start fine, but I really don't want to have to go back about four hours.) I can still talk to Gheyna and even go through with the seduction, and the quest is still "open" as far as I can tell, just Cammen appears to have flagged up wrong somewhere. (I might be able to go back to a slightly later reload and convince her he hates her or something, though.)



Does anyone know if there's any way to get the quest to restart using the console? I.e. clear the flags or something.

Do you have Qwinn's fixpack activated? Deactivationg it did the trick for me. (In any case, you have to start from the beginnig of the conversation with Cammen, though.)

No, I haven't. I did have the Character Respecialization v1.6 mod installed, so I tried it without that; no luck.

It appears as though (somehow) the event Cammen mad at PC has gotten set, guessing from examining the dlg file in the editor. Anybody know where/how the events are saved in the save game folder?

The only solution I see right now is starting the conversation over from the beginning. If necessary, you'll have to deactivate things BEFORE starting the first conversation with Cammen... AFAIK, everything is saved in the .das files, but I don't have the editor.
