Hi guys,
This is a bit of a long one, so here goes:
My housemate and I both own a 360, and I often put my profile across on to his console via memory card as it's in in the living room with the big TV. I preordered the regular 360 edition of DA:O from Amazon, which arrived four days late, and he bought his Collectors Edition on release day from GAME.
As my copy was late I began a game on his console whilst waiting for mine to arrive. Whilst I was signed in with a different Xbox Live profile *and* a different EA account it still showed up some of the Collectors Edition gear when I began. Bonus, right?
Now my copy of the game has arrived I take it upstairs and try to load my saved game. I can't. Because I was forced to start with the Collectors Edition bonus items, even though they weren't on my account or my profile, I am now unable to play my own copy of the game.
We tried loading my housemate's profile on to my Xbox and download the Collectors Edition bonus items again, which seemed to work, but when reloading my profile I am again told I do not have the Collectors Edition so cannot load it.
Now, I can sort of see why it won't let me as it is a different version of the game BUT, if it was going to let me use items that were NOT on my profile to begin with why punish me for it later?
I am currently waiting for a reply from EA customer support on this issue as I'd really rather not do my 21 hours again. I was wondering if anyone had any clues in the meantime that could work this out.

Hi,
Did you ever get a better answer from EA?

It doesn't make any difference. It is now off topic. A month ago, the Xbox forum didn't exist, but you chose to desecrate the grave of this long dead, and rapidly decaying old thing. Shame on you! Surely the SEARCH found something newer!

I did SEARCH - it didn't turn up anything. Carry on rotting.
