Varric is Hawke. Varric has DID (Dissociative identity disorder). =)
Dangit True, you've spoiled DA2 now
Ok here is to hoping that DA2 doesn't have that twist
If there is some sort of 'betrayal' I do hope that if it occurs within the framed narrative that Varric or Cassandra don't hint to it until after it happens in the tale.
As for plot twists in other games, I can think of some but would rather not say in case it spoils it for other people. I've not played JE but was made aware of the twist in that several months ago when talking to a friend about good RPGs. I think with DA2 I am going to try my best and stay away from spoilerific places (including these forums) on the week it is released. It'll hopefully also stop me from thinking of looking on uStream for any potential 'playthroughs' of it. I know I stupidly let myself get spoiled with DAO and ME2. It's always much more fun to see it in person with your own character than watch it played out I think (though the prothean thing and human reaper thing, was amusing to see people spamming the chat with "OMGZ SPOILERS!" like, duh your watching the game, your bound to get spoilt).
Considering we've got the whole "Who is calling Hawke a Champion?" thing, I suppose it could be easy for there to be some twists to the tale, specially considering it is told in a framed narrative.
