Okay, I add The Temple of the Forgotten God up on The Vault .  It hasn't been tested much so I would consider it a Beta version.  I made some significant changes to the previous chapters so, unfortunately, you will need to start from the beginning to make sure everything works [ hopefully this won't happen again ;-) ].  I also included an updated sign-up sheet so if you would like to contribute, check out the sheet and send me an e-mail.

Recent additions to IWD NWN2:
-added Temple of the Forgotten God
-added "lip synching" to voice overs (thanks 0I000I0 for the FXE Generator)
-added a resting encounter spawn system (thanks Lore of Old for the scripts)
-villagers added to Easthaven (dialog and rumors galore)
-many other small changes and fixes

I am currently working on Dragon's Eye and hope to have it ready by Jan. 2011 Posted Image.

Never having played the original IWD series, this should be a treat. I shall have to grab this and check it out. Always good to see more releases. I am a fan of the older settings and series' in general and I never have a problem with seeing updates, remakes or reimagineering of the older great games that literally got me going with computers in the first place, starting with Pool of Radiance (POR:R by Markus "Wayne" Schlegle I provided a lot of backchannel support in technical aspects of the story -- and that was a really good, though different, PoR,) and hopefully never ending.

Congrats on the return to action slowdive.fan!

I'm super excited to see this back in development. Those old dungeon crawls were great fun for me and what you had already put out was great. I'm torn... want to play more right away but also wouldn't mind waiting until more is finished... I'm sure I'll just give in and play soon as I finish Edimoor, I'm like a kid that way.

Glad I didn't get around to finishing that part then. Feel free to use any world maps, icons, scripts, loadscreens, movies, music, or whatever else I uploaded to the vault with my consent. The scripts for the world map should be set up for the whole module. Excepting the parts already made (Vale of Shadows, Kuldahar Pass).

The IWD NWN2 Team is looking for a PR rep, scriptors (sp?), and custom content creators. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me at slowdive.fan@gmail.com. We need a PR rep to keep the community informed of our progress, possible help needed, screenshots, etc. I am really bad at keeping people updated and spend most of my available time in the toolset so a PR person would be a great asset.

Well, I finished Dragon's Eye levels 1-3 and I am about 1/4 of the way complete with levels 4-5. An end of December release for chapter 2 looks to be on schedule.

LeeMer47 has been helping out with custom blueprints and various other parts, but we could sure use some custom placeables to give the areas that Icewind Dale feel (see the sign-up sheet on the Vault page for our placeables wish list).

Back to the toolset for me...

Well, I have 267 conversations, 2274 scripts, 203 creature blueprints, 728 item blueprints, 26 merchants and 270 areas made for my NWN1 version. Much of it will convert directly to NWN2. Unfortunately, none of the 728 items will. The creatures just need their appearances fixed. And some scripts need to be changed to global from local, but only slowdive can determine which ones he wants global. Mostly areas need to be made painstakingly, as well as creature blueprints for Chapters 3-6 and Epilogue (I haven't gotten them done yet), but certain models would also greatly be appreciated from simple to hard:

For Easthaven and Kuldahar we could use arcane grafitti at ar1014 in Easthaven, a wooden ladder lying on the floor instead of upright, one or two bowls (clean or dirty), a spitoon, a net, the temple exterior and statue inside, mounted illithid, gorgon and invisible stalker heads (empty plaque), a displacer beast rug? (in fact various rugs and paintings), a weird table with blocks at aspel's workshop. In Kuldahar a desk-bookcase, what look's like a cable company spool without the cable (on its side), the staircase for Arundel's place. We could live without most of these things, but the wall writing is very much needed to replace the arcane blackboards and the flat ladder wouldn't hurt (though it is on a stand in AR1011, there are wooden braces for that), and arundel's staircase is really wanted. Dragon's eye has various pools, paintings, banners, pillars, rugs, floor-work and a pyramid. The forgotten temple has lava pools and a unique altar. It also possible some of these are made and I haven't seen them. Only slowdive would know for sure. I'm mostly converting what I have when I have the time, and doing some interiors. I'm bad at exteriors.

I'm sure slowdive has other models he would greatly appreciate that I haven't listed.

Just thought I'd weigh in from out of nowhere and say that this project, when finished would cause me to dust off the NWN2 discs and reinstall the game for sure.

Unfortunately I have nothing to contribute, unless you need a proof reader for grammatical/spelling purposes, as it's the only thing I'm good at. I don't know how to code and I suck at anything artistic, so didn't learn to do either on a computer.

That said, I sincerely hope this project makes it all the way through, and the kudos goes to the team that have already put in a mammoth effort already.

Feel free to look for grammar errors. The text is probably all from IWD itself, but it might have had errors even in the final patch. It does have a random treasure error (the blueprint is misnamed). But we already know about that one.

BTW, the use of we in no way implies this is a two-person collaboration. This is slowdive's dealio. I do inform him of things I have found out about IWD from time to time.

Actually, without LeeMer's help this project would take forever to complete. He has done most of the time consuming and least fun parts (dialog, blueprints, area design, etc.). We really need some help with custom placeables and tilesets.

Whoa! It's alive again! Progressing too, it looks like. I had given up hope.

Keep up the good work.

We are just about finished with chapter 2. Leemer has completed a ton of work to fill out the missing pieces of the previous chapters (random treasure scripts, custom items, home interiors, transition to HoW, etc.). I still need to incorporate his work into the project so it may be a couple of weeks before we release chapter 2 for beta testing on The Vault.

There are tintable wooden and metal bowls in the Trinity plaveables pack. It ain't much but at least it's that.

Congrats on progress guys!

I'm pretty pleased at how Dragon's Eye has turned out except for the lack of custom placeables, tilesets, or a proper Yxunomei model. Other than that, everything else looks good to me. So far the current IWD team consists of myself and LeeMer so if anyone wants to help out please feel free to check out the sign-up sheet and e-mail me (see The Vault page). Back to the toolset for me...

Would a modified version of the Herald of Zehir work for a Yxunomei stand-in?

That's what I thought as well. The Herald of Zehir.
