Quick update. Hitmanen has been working on a few areas and I have been working on creating custom metatiles for The Severed Hand (in addition to other IWD tasks). Here is a screenshot of one of the metatiles, see if you can guess where this is (ignore the textures as they are only place holders for now).

Thanks for the comments everyone. I couldn't have created these without the help of Hellfire_RWS.

NWN DM,
These are metatiles and will be available when the next chapter is released. I am making about 4-5 basic metatiles that should work okay for all of the areas in chapter 3. Just add placeables and different wall and floor textures (plus textures are tintable) to make the areas look unique.

I took a look at some of the areas like Kuldahar, Easthaven etc... and I have to say the area design is fan***tastic. They look so much alike.

I'll definitely play this if you finish it, I never finished IWD1 (got somewhere up the giants in the mountains after severed hand), I really don't like the IWD1 engine with no dual wield, sorcerer, kits etc...

Chapter 3 is moving along. I am just about finished with all the area design plus custom content (metatiles and placeables). Just need to fill in the encounters, scripts, items, etc. Most items, creature blueprints and scripts are already created (thanks to LeeMer). Should be ready for beta testing in a couple of weeks. With all the custom content, Severed Hand is looking really cool.

Those look very cool indeed SF. I am continuosly impressed by your skill in the toolset. 

I see all those spawn waypoints in the entry hall .... brings back many good memories.

I always thought it would have been good for the spirit to reward you with something extra if you did not loot any graves.

Thanks PJ156 and Jesse_the_Thief. I have been working on custom placeables and custom metatiles and I think they help tremendously to, hopefully, bring the original feel to this remake. The first screenshot of my last post (Tiers of the Dead) is a custom metatile. I also created custom placeables for the floor dais, table, dwarven statues, dwarven wall textures, etc.
