My sincere apologies if this question was asked and answered before, but after hours of searching I still couldn't find a solution.
It seems that I registered/sync my game after starting a game and now I have no idea of how to upload my characters ( I have 2 characters, one I'm playing in awakenings and the other I'm playing in origins), I didn't even know there was an upload option at the in-game character creation:(.  The only characters that show up on my bioware account are the ones I just made on the DA character creator (not the in-game) just so that I could have an avatar picture.  If anyone could help me find a way to upload my DA:O character it would be much appreciated.

Firstly, make sure you're signed in to this website in-game (Bottom left corner of the screen). One thing you could always do is check your profile's diagnostics. Go to your list of characters on this site, and click "Profile Diagnostics". Do the characters you use in-game show up in that list? If not, then you've got a problem somewhere. Open the game, alt-tab out of it and open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del is a common shortcut). Is "daupdaterservice.svc" running in the processes tab? I suggest you look at this thread, and if you find that the daupdaterservice.svc service isn't running, then you need to look at section 3.2 of this thread.

Edit: Wait. Are you creating a character and then not playing them? You should try to create a manual save (i.e. use the save menu rather than quick/auto save) with that character and see if that works.

Yes, I created a characters in the DA character creator (not the in-game one) just so that I could have my avatar picture. I'm not playing with this character.
The daupdatersvc does show up in the service tab of the task manager.  So I'm going ahead and try the manual save and see if that works.

Finally, my character is now uploaded!!!:D

Turns out, that I just needed to disable the developer console; I learned that from here (I opened the game via Dragon Age game Launcher and not a shortcut). Also I had to save my game using the manual save not auto- or quicksave.  After leveling up, my character was uploaded to the website.

Thank you OnlyShallow89 for your help:)
