The first thing that came to mind was the Jade Golem from Jade Empire but in a particularly twisted form. Obviously that has no relevance in the context of Dragon Age. It does however look quite clearly like some sort of mechanical construct - perhaps a new take on golems in the Fade?

if i remeber correctly, we see hawke fight it in flashbacks, so whatever it is its probably not on our side.



on a side note; it remids me of the living statue in the movie lara Croft: Tomb Raider that awakenes right after she picks up the first piece of the triangle.

Seems like something that would be at home in Jade Empire, not Dragon Age...looks like a robot /automaton golem thing. Or maybe some demon possessed thing?

Definitely not commented on. The frills make me think Orlesian and maybe Chevalier. The body looks metallic but the face looks stone. It would be interesting if it were a person turned to stone, rather than an enemy mob.

I think its a sentinel, not a golem, the thing is made of metal, the new gollems are made from flesh and the old ones from stone, although dwarves are always busy

Either way it looks awesome
