Absolutely the broodmother. I just did this fight again the other day and I still get the shivers.

I too have to caste my vote for broodmother. That song or rhyme of Hespith's really adds to the whole creepiness of the moment.

Broodmother, esp after you talked to Hespith hands down creepiest for me.
Also the little poet in Haven with his Bonnie Lynn poem.
And the first time you see Connor. Has this whole "send him to the cornfield, son" feeling to it.

The creepiest moment for me was when the sound failed for the scene where Riordan kills the guard.
The silence made it utterly disturbing

My vote's for Hespith's poem. The first time I heard that, I actually got chills down my spine. Loved it so much, on my next playthrough, I dragged my hubby into the room just to hear it.

Hespith, more than the Broodmother.

Hearing Hespith reciting that little poem freaked me out. It reminded me of the Nightmare on Elm Street poem about Freddy.

Hearing the poem was bad enough... Seeing her turn around when you first meet her freaks me out every time...

The orphanage in the Denerim Alienage. Hespeth and the broodmother are a close second though.

The orphanage didn't bother me anywhere near as much as Hespith and the Broodmother. I think with the whole Broodmother part is that you could see this as a possible fate for your female Warden. By the time I got to the orphanage, demons were just there.

probably the Broodmother is #1. that one dark orphanage or whatever that the templar searched with you would have been creepy if I was younger... I guess I'll say that's #2. good job on both of these areas imo. most memorable areas in DAO for me.

Conner never bothered me as much as Isolde does. The choices that woman makes to keep-Conner-safe really are disturbing.

I beg to differ with this assessment. While I agree Isolde is nuts, I think she is the one who is "expendable" since you can sacrifice her in a blood ritual to go into the Fade and confront the demon. (and I feed her to Jowan's ritual most of my playthroughs). Teagan is saved by the all powerful "necessary to plot" tactic, making him NOT expendable. If you abandon Redcliffe to its fate, everyone in the village is killed and turned into zombies with the exception of him.
And yes Connor is weird till the demon is destroyed. "Billy Mumy, send them to the cornfield" weird

The Mages getting tortured and turned into abominations was pretty screwed up.

Definitely Hespith.
Possessed Connor making ""Teagan dance was creepy too, but the demonic child plot device is familiar enough it didn't totally wierd me out (The Exorcist, Omen, Diablo 1)

Vaughn ogling my City Elf at her wedding. Ew.
Loghain telling my City Elf she's "very pretty". Double Ew.
The look on Isolde's face when Jowan zaps her life energy was also rather creepy.

The whole side quest in the Alienage where you help a Templar fight demons in a haunted orphenage the sounds of kids screaming in pain and talking all creepy was kinda scary and i was expecting stuff to jump out on me at any moment.
