What part of the planet Earth do you think Earthborn Shepard grew up in?  

I'd say Canada since he has a bit of a Canadian accent.

For some reason FemShep struck me as a Chicago girl. M!Shep is definitely from the mean streets of Toronto, though.

I'm from Chicago and I agree that FemShep is from ChiTown. But I'd guess MaleShep is from Vancouver, meaner streets than Toronto from what I was told by a Canadian friend.

That's a shame. Dreamfall imo is worth playing through for the story and characters alone, even if as a game it cannot compete with TLJ.

Anyway, does the Mass Effect lore tell us anything about major social or political changes on earth that might influence Shepard's origin? Where are the big urban centres of the ME earth? North America? Asia?Did any major immigration events occur (like from Europe and NA to Africa/Asia as in Dreamfall )?

Hmm, Looks like Singapore is a strong candidate...

I have always thought that about FemShep as well and not even sure why I have only been to Chicago twice and most of that was spent in airports and train stations.  ManShep if I had to guess would be west coast maybe LA or Seattle.
