Isn't that a bit exaggerated? It's not like you'll be traumatized by a male character wanting to get frisky with your male character, is it? Being suitably rude to the guy will shut him up just as well.drliebs wrote...
good point...maybe they could put in an option to turn that off if you don't want to "see" it.

You can ask him to leave the party. I did. Not because he got all gay on me though. His character and mine just didn't get along and he needed to go away.
I am currently playing as a female character. I am not a gay guy and as such I guess I really don't resonate with Alasdair much. I guess he's a submissive, not 100% confident, sweetheart. A bit too much "catholic schoolboy" for me. Not a fantasy that works well for me. Other romance options for me were the Big Qunari... That's some disturbing porn for you. The Dwarf... That guy is pretty much the exact opposite of Alasdair, pretty offensive on a base level... nope.
So that leaves me the women. Morrigan, too emo for me, didn't wanna waste a story arc on a trophy lay ( I know, I'm a bad person). Wynne, a bit old and morbid, I have a hard time not thinking of her like my grandmother. And then there is Leliana. She's hot. Lets face it. Smart and manipulative as well. Clear choice for me.
So yep, I went Girl on Girl like any real Hetero male would huh? Am I ashamed of myself? Nah (maybe a little for being so utterly cliché about it, lol). But hey we all make choices that make us feel comfortable. That's the only one that worked for my character.
I'll add to the Pro-gender-role-destroying applause.
I may not like your penis as much as mine but I will defend to the death your right to use it the way you want to in a mutually consensual relationship.
No animals were injured during the posting of this message ( I certainly hope none of you tried to hurt the poor doggy!)
Peace!

I've done it. It was pretty nasty afterwards, though. I requested to the staffers that they make our baby a half-dwarf, half-elf, and it came out with no head and was all disfigured.eisberg77 wrote...
gay or not, but one would have to be sick minded if they ever enjoy Dwarf on Elf 'Relationship'

I think it's awesome that the replies to this thread have been so supportive. Kudos to BioWARE for being progressive and open-minded.
Yes I am actually surprised compared to some other game forums filled with homophobes.

This made me laugh out loud! Thank you! This has actually been a bit rough, as I've started writing posts with the, uh, pre-operative gender, then had to change them back so as not to spoil anything. Anyway...
Yes, my thanks also. For all the hand-wringing and vocal critics pre-release, I have actually found Zev to be quite a fun character and a joy to have in the party. His outlook on life and death is a little... unsettling, but he is a blast.

You're welcome. Nice to see someone liked Zevran -- I always thought he was delicious fun, if not the sort of guy you'd bring home to meet mother.psykobabble wrote...

Thank you bioware
I've never played a game where my PC could fall for an NPC M/M F/M
it's awesome
mainly just thanks.
As for those who don't like Zevran hitting on them -- I think with every romanceable character there is the opportunity to tell them point blank that you simply aren't interested when they flirt with you. In fact, I recall making doubly sure with Zevran that this is the case. You don't need to be rude. If he is flirting with you repeatedly, there can really only be one explanation why.

I don't know. Maybe Bioware's right. maybe their audience is just more mature. Heck, the man of honor at my wedding was my sister-in-law. You figure it out. Yes, she wore a tux. It was my husband's request. She brough her girlfriend. What's it to me? A good time was had by all.

You can for certain with the bard. I don't know first hand about Morrigan though.

Does Morrigan swing both ways? I was thinking of sparking up a f/f relationship with her and my mage. But I don't want to waste time if my girl would be barking up the wrong tree.
EDIT: Oh, nvm. My answer is just a few posts up.
Nope only Leliana. It's a shame really I don't think it be a stretch of the imagination for Morrigan/Alistair to have a relationship with iether male or female PC but oh well.

Iwas talking with Shale - question for you gay guys - is Shale gay? He certainly sounded it when talking about his accessories, but then maybe it is just that I have no fashion sense. I ask only because you guys usually know.Noahsdadiscool wrote...

Oh that's a bummer. Thanks for the quick response. I guess I'll have my mage go straight and romance Ali or Zev. Hmm... ex-Templar and a pro-apostate mage sounds good.
I'll save Morrigan for later.
