Didn't they say we'd get at least two of each class? So assuming you're right about Bethany and Carver being permanent companions (and that's a big assumption IMO), then the last non-DLC character would have to be a mage.

LOL. By the Maker, someone give this poster an award. I almost choked on a cookie for laughing so hard. *wipes tears from eyes*

Really now, I don't think Bioware wishes to invoke the wrath of a lot of female gamers by only giving us Varric. I'm sure there are more companions/LIs just waiting round the bend. As long as I am able to hang with a human male rogue (or mage) or an elven female (or male) mage for a bit, I'll be happy.

I don't think that's it by a longshot. After all, we haven't seen a single David Gaider-written companion yet (unless Carver is his), and he wrote four in DAO. It would be odd for the Lead Writer of all people to take such a reduced role in the writing of DA2.

Don't be silly.

First of all, by all accounts only two of Carver, Bethany, and Aveline are going to make it past the prologue. Second of all, we don't know Carver/Bethany are full companions. Personally, I think they are, because if Aveline isn't guaranteed to make it through, that means you're coming out of the prologue with no companions. Third, your mother doesn't fight.

Which means you named four possible companions--DLC don't really count towards that number. Less if Carver or Bethany aren't full companions.

Well, I hear that they cut all relationships between consonants. It's vowels only in DA2. So my sources claim.

Aaaaanyhow, we have images of Carver and Aveline, Carver and Bethany, and Bethany and Aveline after Lothering--but none of them all together. We know Carver can survive.
