Is it possible to romance Aveline?

I know, I am relying on my mental models to fill in the gaps of what I don't know, but I've made my decision already. I'm gunning for either Cassandra or Aveline if it's possible.

Really we should just romance every character.
Especially Bethany.

I'm not condoning incest, but I won't deny that--historically speaking--incest was not uncommon during the time period in which the world of Dragon Age is loosely based up. But I didn't want this to become another "please let us romance Bethany" thread!
I was merely making a lighthearted point that the game would certainly be more interesting if every companion were romanceable, and I think even you would have to agree with me on that point!
And if you don't want a homosexual relationship, don't pursue one!
Medieval times, full brother-sister incest? It was...frowned upon, to say the least.

Well look on the bright side: at least they're all rather attractive individuals! Imagine if you were forced to picture a threesome between First Enchanter Irving, the Harvester and... Dagna. *shudders*

Well, yes, naturally.

Yes, it's quite regular for friends to make out and grope each other as "hello" while the camera lingers, showing the action through romantic, flickering flameErichHartmann wrote...
Plus kissing is not definitive proof of a "romantic" relationship. Could just be a friendly hello kiss for all we know.

I was thinking Mother, Irving, the Broodmother, and the Architect.

The Wynne/Irving/Geogir(sp?) image that just gave me wasn't any better.
That's it I'm leaving before I get any more disturbed.

Elderly people can still make love.
But regardless, we are far off base. Let's get back to Aveline...

You're right! I was speaking more in terms of cousins interbreeding... Sorry I didn't clarify!
But back to the main topic of this thread: I think Aveline would make for a rather interesting LI... she would obviously be conflicted with her feelings for her recently departed husband, so a player would have to be very careful in how he tried to romance her. If she were even more difficult to romance than Leliana (when playing as a female Warden), then I, for one, would be up for the challenge!

Has less to do with their ages rather than the fact that it's an abomination, a templar and a mage.

Having your love interest alongside you as you go about the business of sticking sharpened metal into dudes effects your judgement. Maybe you'll be a little nicer to whatever faction they represent. Maybe you'll be a little nicer generally while they're there Or maybe you act like a antisocial maniac, but at least occasionally ponder what your beloved thinks about it.nijnij wrote...
How about a non-companion LI ? After all, you should't have to fall in love exclusively with people the people who go darkspawn-slicing with you. How about a grumpy wife waiting for you to return to Kirkwall after each quest ?
I'm not sure a non party romance would have quite the same effect on the rest of gameplay, and would mostly only exist for it's own sake. Which I suppose isn't a bad thing, considering how popular the element is, but I know that personally it's not something I'd be interested in.
Unless they were hot. But I think that goes without saying.
