So far we've seen Isabela and Aveline, both great.  When it comes to looks i'll prolly go for Isabela because of the dark skin, but Aveline has some guns.  Anyway what do most guys think of Aveline and Isabela?

I really like Isabela. About time we get the chance to have a romance with a black female instead of just all white girls. Can't wait!

I prefer Isabela offhand, but look forward to finding out more about both of them when I get my hands on the game. I find Bioware so often surprises me with characters, I know better than to completely write one off before seeing them in action. Plus Aveline has the headband.

I'll be honest, I think Isabela is ugly. There, I said it. And I also think that, except for the pantless part, her outfit it's luv.



The girl's breasts kinda make me laugh, because they're really big. But I'll ignore it and just say that I find Aveline very beautiful. If I have to choose between the two of them, I would go for Aveline without a doubt. Of course, I'm talking only about the looks, and we know so little about Isabela.



In the end I guess I'll like Isabela more than Aveline, ha.

She seems more Arabic/Hispanic to me than Black, which means she's still Caucasoid just like everyone else in DA.

I'm still waiting for a truly Mongoloid or Negroid character to come along...

On looks, I'm just hoping the "pudding" effect isn't a problem in the final release as most of the individuals shown thus far look bizarre

I think Isabela's face looks cartoonish and unnatural. It has less to do with her being outright ugly, for me, and more to do with her not having a normal person face. Her lips are far too high up on her face, and far too pinched. I think Aveline is prettier. Honestly, if they just widened and lower her lips a teeny bit she'd look so much better.

I think Aveline is prettier, honestly. Not because she defies social norms or anything, and Isabela is walking fanservice, but because her face isn't cartoonish and out of proportion.

Well, she and Duncan come from Riviani, right? So I think it would be natural to her to be black-skinned. Or maybe it was just Duncan and everyone else in Riviane is hispanic-like?

Well, from what's been released it can be hard to tell. The Wallpaper of her on her page in the DA2 game section looks pretty fair skinned, but in the screenshots she looks fairly dark skinned. But yeah, I guess Arabic/Hispanic might be closer to what she looks like. Still, it's darker skin so I'll still be happier with that than with just another white woman.

Ooh, I agree with you. Everytime I looked at Isabela's face I couldn't help but think that something was wrong. Personally I think that Isabela's old look was better. She was pretty common, of course, but she was still better IMO.

I choose not to descriminate against Isabela just because she is curvy and whatnot. For me, it's all about the roguish pirate-ness of her. Plus I can't shake the feeling that she and Varric are going to have awesome banter, although that might be in part thanks to some of Pseudo's (and others) artwork.
