That being said, I think Aveline is shaping up to be the best "story" character, in the sense that I think her story will be the best out of the three.

Honestly, in terms of apperance Benthany seems to be the best looking character, with Isabella trailing for second. Aveline looking like she can tear the head off a bull is absolutely not a positive in her favour at all. She definetly looks her role.

You forgot one:

BioWare, please make this happen.
((Is wimminfolk. Will not comment on the attractiveness of the various females. Nooooooo.)

Well, the thread did say companions; FemHawke is not technically a companion.
BioWare, please make this happen.

Also, you might not like the same features men might? Though I guess it might just fall on a feminine/masculine feature scale. I honestly wonder if that wouldn't explain a divide on Isabella/Aveline.

From what I have seen, the default female Hawke is the most attractive character Bio have produced in any game.
This. I'm a fan of the FemHawke look.
Isabela not so much. Aveline, haven't really seen her too well, but nothing special so far.
But then, neither was Leli, to be honest.

Samara takes the crown imo. But Femhawke is the most attractive customizable pc I've ever seen.

The only disappointment about how pretty Lady Hawke is that we'll mostly be looking at her from behind.. oh wait, we have a voice protagonist now so hopefully the camera won't be behind her in cutscenes. Yay, rejoice! I can admire myself as I talk onscreen. This is truly glorious.
Indeed, say what you want about voiced versus silent protagonists but the improvement in cinematic presentation provided by the former is immense and I can't wait to see how the designers on DA2 (like John Elper) have taken advantage of it. Being able to see the character I will no doubt pour a lot of time into making perfect in the character creator from all sorts of angles and whatnot is just the tip of the iceberg!

Men seem to not all have the same tastes. There are likely men who like the same features I do and men who like different ones.
Though I guess it might just fall on a feminine/masculine feature scale.
What?
I honestly wonder if that wouldn't explain a divide on Isabella/Aveline.
What do you mean?

Is that some kind of semantic argument about there being no England in Thedas?

no we are talking about girls with big breast that can't speak English
I meant about Maria Caliban saying none of the women we've seen can speak English.
