Is that some kind of semantic argument about there being no England in Thedas?
It was a joke about no one in Thedas speaking English and all the women being well endowed.
However, if it weren't a joke, it still wouldn't be an argument as it lacks premise(s) and a conclusion, and if it were an argument it would not be semantic, but metatext.

Men seem to not all have the same tastes. There are likely men who like the same features I do and men who like different ones.
I've seen studies that show that women on average tend to find different features attractive than men, so I was just thinking that as a woman you would more likely than not like different traits.
What?
The same sort of reasearch I was thinking about, and didn't specify, looked at features defined as "masculine" and "feminine" based on cultural stereotypes and beliefs and investigated the impact these features had on ratings of attractiveness.
What do you mean?
I think that Isabella is more representative of traditional feminine stereotypies as compared to Aveline. She's thinner and less bulky, has softer facial features and (as allowed by the face-gen) a weaker jaw. Whereas Aveline is more masculine as a woman. Her shoulders seem broader, her body is definetly more well build, etc.
That's what I mean. If someone likes a different cluster of features (i.e. traditionally masculine or feminine) and if Aveline and Isabella represent opposite poles, then it makes sense that those preferences would predict which one of the two girls someone might like.

I would usually cut the pictures out of the quote, but you don't cut Zooey Deschanel out of anything. One day I shall meet that woman.
*Ahem*
Yes. More Zooey in everything please.

I think Isabela's face looks cartoonish and unnatural. It has less to do with her being outright ugly, for me, and more to do with her not having a normal person face. Her lips are far too high up on her face, and far too pinched. I think Aveline is prettier. Honestly, if they just widened and lower her lips a teeny bit she'd look so much better.
I think Aveline is prettier, honestly. Not because she defies social norms or anything, and Isabela is walking fanservice, but because her face isn't cartoonish and out of proportion.
Any better?
Wow that revamped version is a million times better. The way she looks now, her face looks, well... fat.

Yes, but that study was done by showing straight women pictures of men's faces. I mean, when straight women evaluate another woman's attractiveness, they don't use the same litmus as when they look at mean, so how would its results apply to a gay woman evaluating another woman's face?
Moreover, that study showed that what features straight women found attractive depended on what part of their menstrual cycle they were on. Unlike gay and straight men, who were far more consistent.
The same sort of reasearch I was thinking about, and didn't specify, looked at features defined as "masculine" and "feminine" based on cultural stereotypes and beliefs and investigated the impact these features had on ratings of attractiveness.
I see. That makes sense now.

I'm confused. Which are you suggesting I'd find more attractive?
