The face on a woman is FAR more important to me than the b00bs or the hind quarters.

So far we've seen Isabela and Aveline, both great. When it comes to looks i'll prolly go for Isabela because of the dark skin, but Aveline has some guns. Anyway what do most guys think of Aveline and Isabela?
I really like Isabela. Found her to be interesting back in Origins and wanted to recruit her (I actually thought that last companion slot was reserved for her...).
In DA2 she looks even better and sounds like she'll be loads of fun to have around. Definitely my first choice of a LI and most likely my "canon" LI to boot.
Aveline? I'm really love by the idea of having a female warrior in my group that will actually survive past the intro. Also, she is the first female warrior in Dragon Age that actually looks the part. Can't wait to find out more about her.
So far, Varric, Isabela and Aveline look like they'll be my default party throughout the game.

And besides male Shepard, have they ever used any real life models on other characters? Huh? HUH!?

I did mean mostly discussions about Origins, as it has been. I did not forget the lack of revealed male companions with the second installment. The Varric thread is comparable to the Alistair threads, where appearance is one of the main factors, but rarely have I seen even there the flow of "ugly, gtfo" posts. Morrigan and Leliana had all sorts of opinions about them, but if anyone did find male companions unattractive, the opinion was rarely expressed.

I do not recall seeing many discussions where there would be a rampant flow of comments on how ugly male non-player characters or companions look like, specifically male love interests. Makes one wonder.
It's par for the course in these forums. Before DAO was released, apparently Morrigan and Leliana were hideous monsters, and there was even a multiple page thread about the size of Morrigan's lower lip.

funny how history repeats itself, i'll be damned if the same thing doesn't happen when DA3 is announced.

Varric is all the manliness the forum needs... As a straight male, I feel very strange for having said that...leonia42 wrote...
I wouldn't mind having more male characters to talk about, for sure.

Same for Mass Effect 2--there were pages and pages and pages about how Miranda's head was as lumpy as a baked potato.dbankier wrote...

Hah, and here I was thinking she looked fine to me--this is definitely an improvement. I'll take two.

I think Isabela's face looks cartoonish and unnatural. It has less to do with her being outright ugly, for me, and more to do with her not having a normal person face. Her lips are far too high up on her face, and far too pinched. I think Aveline is prettier. Honestly, if they just widened and lower her lips a teeny bit she'd look so much better.
I think Aveline is prettier, honestly. Not because she defies social norms or anything, and Isabela is walking fanservice, but because her face isn't cartoonish and out of proportion.
Any better?
Wow that revamped version is a million times better. The way she looks now, her face looks, well... fat.
Then it's decided. Isabela will be my hawke's paramour.....I hate skinny broads.
