Does helping the people of Lothering in DA:O affect who survives the attack on Lothering? (i.e. the whole Carver situation)

These decescions on whether to help or not had to have had some purpose.. And I am thinking it might affect whether Carver, or even Wesley, will live or die.

Carver: Get your hands off me!
*Ogre roars while preparing to kill Carver*
Lost boy: Have you seen my mama? Some bad men came and she told me she'd meet me here but I haven't seen her!
*Everybody including the Ogre looks at the little boy, Carver slips away*
Wesley: It's a miracle, I'm cured from the taint!
*everybody leaves to Kirkwall*
Lost boy: Mama?

Flemeth: (talking)
Party: (looking on in interest)
Flemeth: "Take this box to the Dalish."
Hawke: "No problem just where AGH!"
(camera jump cuts to party being jumped by three bears. Flemeth sighs, goes looking for another group of adventures to manipulate)

NO, Carver and Wesley will not live or die depending on what you did in Origins and remember that these things were just small favors venom, traps and three lesser health poultices, I think that Carver for example will die if you act recklessly (let him attack the ogre or you can save him if pull him out of the way) and Wesley was already injured when you met him.
But something such pulling him away or letting him act recklessly is easily achievable yet most of the previews that i have read Carver has died in. If it were that easy he would probably be alive.
All I'm saying is that maybe what you did in Lothering helped kill a few darkspawn so it is a lot easier on your team.

Yes, that could be true one way or another but i think consequenses like Carver dies is made by descisions you do in DA 2 not origins or perhaps he is revived by magic of some sort ( it's all speculation at this point).

Ahh but what about the Wardens that exploited and sold off hundreds of traps? Traps everywhere!

If he isn't then it doesn't really matter whether the Warden sold traps to a bunch of peasants or not. Thus the entire thread would be pointless.
If he is, my point stands.

For those Wardens Hawke will not survive to flee due to triggering 9001 traps and thus having no legs left.

I want the escape from Lothering be filled to the brim of traps.
*watch as Hawke and co. trip every few seconds*
