If you guys make up a romance-able companion like Obsidian's Scarlet Lake in Alpha Protocol, I'll basically do whatever she wants. Just saying.

Would need to use a different voice actress though, considering Scarlet was played by Courtenay Taylor (Jack).

I wasn't going to get it, but then I saw Christina Norman Tweet that it was on sale on Steam for $7.75.  It's a pretty short game, so I wouldn't say it would be worth full retail price, but for its length its a damn enjoyable experience.  Just read up on good specs first and you'll wonder what all the fuss over the combat being bad was about.  Personally I'd recommend Stealth  + Pistols + Melee with some Tech/Sabotage thrown in.  

Anyway that's off topic.  Unless I'm gonna elaborate on Scarlet, Mina, Madison, or SIE that is.

Just like the Asari Consort, I can't say I didn't want that happen, just didn't expect to be put in such a situation.

I think romances are pretty much a staple of all Bioware games. Even the upcoming Old Republic has romances in it and that's an MMORPG.

Hmm, Cassandra wanting to get to know Hawke more... physically perhaps?

Now considering (at the moment) she has short white hair, my vision of having a female warrior akin to Ivy from Soul Calibur (but without the revealing outfit) as a potential LI/romance maybe finally answered but no doubt that dream will be crushed and thus tears will flow sustaining the devs.

Dammit UpsettingShorts, don't get these foolish notions in my head that it might happen.

That all said, personality aside, I do hope we have a full on female warrior 'follower' who is a potential LI. As much as I like the sound of Aveline, I just can't (at the moment) see her being an LI

I have to say, I'd like not having to do ALL of the work in a romance.

It might be nice to enter your camp and have a cut scene with your LI being assertive initiated straight away rather then you having to go and speak with them. I mean romance is not all one sided.

However this would need to be done in a way that makes sense and not too often, I mean could you imagine a potential romance just throwing themselves at you, when you had barely spoken with them.... now that would be weird.

Appropriately enough, Kotaku just did an editorial on what I find to be a major problem with Bioware's depicion of 'romance' lately. kotaku.com/5701668/the-problem-with-sex-as-a-video-game-goal

Bioware games are still on the top of my list when I think of games with great story, but one area I feel they sort of lag behind in is 'romance'. Sex has been the climax of all relationships since Jade Empire. I'm hoping more than anything that with the time gaps this will be something Dragon Age 2 can improve on.
