So I have finally got to the point that I am making levels of more than one room and then two questions arises.

1. How can I make sure the other room show itself once I open the door, not once my character sets foot in it?

2. Light probes only work in the room I placed it in, how to fix that?

first you have to click your room in the room world tree at the left bar. afterwards you can adjust the room properties if you click the brown room property button right next to the area list and the control setting button at the top. within the room properties you can set the following to answer your questions:

1) you have to add all the visible rooms to the list which will be seen from the currently selected room.
2) you also have to add the rooms which will be lit from the currently selected room to the list. the lighting directly affects the light probe too.

there's also a wiki page.

Will I have to re-render lightmaps? (please, no.... (many rooms that need the ceiling thing to be done)).

dunno. at least you have to rerender light probes which shouldn't take that long.

I'm pretty sure you have to since you are changing what lights affect the props in the room.

Damn, that will take forever, I'll just see if rendering the light probes will be enough. 14 rooms where at least 12 of them needs the ceiling moved away to render the lighting will take forever...

EDIT: Tried this on one level, thank god I did not need to rerender lightmaps, only the light-probe.
