To be honest, I'd like to see a LI (male or female) who initially seems fairly well meaning, but is actually rather diabolical in nature, and both intelligent and evil enough to manipulate Hawke into bringing about destruction and chaos in the world. It can't be too obvious, though; I don't imagne Hawke to be an idiot.

I know no individual is entirely good or evil and there are always shade of grey; however, I would like to see a darker LI than those we have previously encountered, where the relationship has an adverse effect on the world.

Why did I immediately think Traya?

I don't know who Traya is.  Epic fail on my part, I know.

I don't know, I thought Morrigan manipulated the Warden so that she could have the OGB that may very well bring chaos and destruction.

I actually feel like if they put a companion/LI in the game that completely turned around at the end to say "No actually I don't love/like you, in fact I hate you, and manipulated you and will use everything you ever told me to create chaos and evil in the world! Mwahahaha!" it would backfire and make a lot of people feel cheated after they worked to develop what they thought was some sort of relationship with said NPC. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to a betrayal of some kind, as long as a relationship you formed with the companion isn't just thrown out the window and it plays a part in how the betrayal plays out.

Why is betrayal necessary to create chaos and evil?  If they're even decent manipulators this doesn't need to be the case.  Certainly  "chaos" and "evil" aren't mutally exclusive from "love/romance" as programed into a video game.  Not that I care either way, this just struck me as weird and way too simplistic.

How my brain auto-"corrected" it when I first skimmed it.

I guess we'll have to see how the Morrigan/OGB stiuation plays out in future games for those who did the DR. I never did think of Morrigan as evil, though.  A cold-hearted ***** at times, yes.  Evil? No.

I do agree that the relationship would have to play a part in how the betrayal works out, or else it would simply be irritating.

Varric.

(I just saw a thread with the title 'Male LI's' and felt this was the only appropriate answer to whatever the OP might be).

I would never turn down more Anders though.

I vote for someone who looks like Harrison Ford, circa the early 1980s.  :D

Why do people keep saying this? Mary would crush you all and then laugh.

Her PR might be great, because she seems awful nice.

LIES

Not at all. Sheryl is the soft touch of our group-- but even she is like one of those cruel hummingbirds that feeds off of tears. And knits. Mary likes to bake, but I know that if she could bake something out of evil she most certainly would.

Hmmm... Wasn't Sheryl behind Mihri?

Of course. How could I expect anything but sacrifice for freedom?

If I sacrifice myself to win freedom, am I really free?
