Ladies (and dudes), make a list, what kind of attractive features would you like on the next male LI? Varric has his famed chest hair, but what should the next guy have?



My list?



1. Glasses, the rectangular kind. I know they're not really seen in Thedas but damn they make me swoon.



2. Green eyes



3. A nice ass. In fact, not just nice, an ass of legends, an ass that could make every person on a sidewalk stop and go "....damn"

This has my full support! There is just something about pale, broody, stoic, shoulder-length dark-haired guys with sensual, kissable lips that make me weak in the knees. *sighs dreamily* I also love that sexy nose of his; I just want to stroke it lightly before planting a gentle kiss on the tip. ... Okay, that came out sounding a lot more kinky than it should have.

Anyway, I think I remember reading a comment by DG where he said Nathaniel would have been a favourite romance for him to do had they done them in Awakening. Well, Nathaniel's been pretty much confirmed to hang with Hawke for a time and romances are confirmed for DA2. *hint-hint* *nudge-nudge* If we are able to get with Nathaniel, I do hope it's not just a roll in the hay. My fem!Hawke is so the girl who dreams of riding off into the sunset with her Grey Warden to live happily ever after. Don't ask her if she wants any kids, though. She's mum about a lot of things, especially that.

1. Shoulder-length hair left alone or pulled back into a ponytail; colour doesn't really matter, but I prefer brown or black
2. I'm not really a fan of full beards (think Arl Eamon), but trimmed beards, light facial scruff, goatees, and soul patches are a-okay with me
3. I really dig guys with dark hair and light-coloured eyes, but I'm open to all colours and combinations
4. As far as body type goes, I like a man with more of an athletic build than, say, an overly muscular one. Less muscular than Alistair, but more muscular than Zevran. Does that make any sense? Let's say all of the males in DAO and DAA had separate body models. I'd totally go for Nathaniel's, hook, line, and sinker.


TL;DR crowd: Nathaniel Howe's one hawt piece of Ferelden arse; please let me hit it like the fist of an angry god and I will be more than happy to have your babies.

I don't care much about physical characteristics of potential LI's because almost all the characters look pretty much the same anyway. I'd like to have a Qunari (with or without horns, tal-vashoth or not) although this is largely because I really liked Sten. A lot.



I prefer to have a choice between a lighthearted, happy-go-lucky sort and a serious, grim, sarcastic sort. Origins would have been perfect (for me) if you could have picked between Zevran and Sten. Zevran and Alistair were too alike in personality for either to be tolerable. I found myself wishing I could just set them up with each other and wash my hands of the whole business.



I'd also like the LI's to occasionally surprise you with stuff that seems a bit out of character. For instance, if the grim, antisocial type knows how to dance and actually enjoys it--or the energetic, light-hearted one has a lovely singing voice that he's really bashful about. That sort of thing.

Super late to this post party but I'm gonna post anyway, Cause thats the way I roll...

In my imagination, where I have complete control over the Dragon Age franchise and the writers do whatever I say, I have at least three love interests (similar to M.E.2) so we have many to choose from.

I loved Alistair cause he was funny, nice, and innocent. Something you never ever see in a warrior. It was a nice departure from the normally battle hardened veteren.

That being said...one of my three would be a battle hardened veteran.

Also perhaps someone just a bit awkward or shy would be cute, but it might get taxing talking to them after awhile. A nerd, as others put it.

I also thought it would be kind of cool to have someone who is totally charming and awesome, but then after you sleep with them or something you find out they're actually a jackass. It would be interesting to have a character fall for this person and then in the end be dismissed by them. But thats kind of a mean thing for the writers to do to the fans so maybe I shouldn't have even brought it up   I just liked how Alistair could dump you and there wasn't a darn thing you could do about it (maybe "liked" isn't the right word...."appreciated-the-complex-emotions-the-game-had-successfully-portrayed-through-my-tears" is probably closer.)

Also, in my fantasy world where it takes a week to create a game and the amount of coding is not an issue, I think it would be awesome to have an only homosexual LI. I understand why they make them bisexual usually but I do think it would be cool if they did. But again, that would skyrocket the amount of money/time/manpower it would take to create the game so I get it.

So there are my opinions on the matter.

Ugh, my younger twin sisters are both twincest fans. It's super creepy. It's also why I stopped going to conventions with them because they would "role-play" in character and in costume.

/is inexplicably all aboard the Ser Gilmore train.

Since I generally like every character Bioware comes up with, I would be interested to get a LI (or party member) that I personally hate so much that I wouldn't even consider romancing him even just to get that extra dialogue and character development. No party members in Origins pushed enough of my buttons to make me want to slay them on sight. Bring it onnnnn.

The vague possibility of this is the only reason I've preordered. Which makes me a sad case of a fangirl I suppose. 

There's nothing else I've seen so far that's even a bit interesting to me.  Hopefully that will change with some more char reveals...hopefully.

I want dark hair.  DA:O was full of blondies.

Nathaniel would be my ideal (look-wise) for a human LI, plus his personality was sexy as hell in DA:A.  Too bad that I think he's mostly off the table because he is kill-able in Awakenings. 

I'm also still holding out a wee torch of hope for a qunari LI, though I'm sure that's not going to happen either.  I looove the sheer brick sh*thouse of masculinity that the male qunari's represent...my lady-parts respond to this, yes they do.  <3
