What, in 20 years he never had a single adventure? Come on, it's Maric! That guy can't stay out of trouble for too long.

Though I wouldn't mind reading about other characters as well.

I'm a big fan of Maric after the two books. I'd love to see one last book with him. Whether it was another adventure, or one that ties into his death at sea, it'd be nice to have some closure with him.

This made my night! Though I have to wonder what a non Thedas-based novel would be. I doubt we'd get anything like that for a very long time, if ever.

*squees in delight*

Wonderful!  The Stolen Throne and The Calling added such dimension to the game, humanizing Loghain and laying a foundation for the Architecht.  Bring on the yummy literary goodness!

TMI dude.  T. M. I.

So, let's speculate.  I'm guessing it'll be something about Orlais.  The epic adventures of Empress Celene.

As long as you don't ned to read the book in order to get the full story out of the game, I'm all for books.

I am loud and proud, Addai. Can't help it!

Damn Orlesians need more time in the spotlight, licking their Loghain inflicted wounds two decades later.

Good to hear. I found The Calling added alot to my second playthrough of DA:O and made me realise I need to buy Awakening. Well played Gaider, well played.

Eeeee.  I have been waiting to hear that for a good while.  The first book was good.  The second book was freaking awesome.  Count me happy.

I know.  It made me ridiculously happy.

Since most people say they like The Calling better, I have to inject a fave vote for TST.  *hugs TST*  I just love... everything.  Young Maric.  Young Loghain.  Rowan's red dress.  The whole Wolverines! vibe of young bucks taking back their country.

If DG is still lurking, I have to ask:  Was Alistair originally meant to be Katriel's son??

Ooh, count me in there. The imagery with the red dress was gorgeous, which reminds me of this awesome fan work by Lady Winde  If I hadn't been before, TST made me a Loghain fan. And I'm defintely not the only one who became one that way.

Yeah I like that one, though poor Rowan looks so unhappy.  I guess that was a pretty unhappy scene.  Which is sort of the opposite thing that should happen when a hot chick puts on a red dress.

Oh, and then there's the classic "the Warden comes across a copy of TST" comic from the immortal aimo.

We can turn this into a TST gush thread, I won't mind.  Image IPB

The unhappiness of the scene is probably the reason I like it so much, I'm attracted to TEH DRAMAZ ^_^ Though this one is a much happier scene of the two. Loghain was a studmuffin in his younger years. :P Even the Warden was not immune, as Aimo proved.

Mm, now I feel like re-reading TST.

Does the Magic 8-ball say "chances are good" for novels prior to the release of Dragon Age 2?

That would be rushing it a tad, unless it's already written.

I like both books equally, though I like how The Calling is more-or-less a single, self-contained adventure (and in my mind would make an awesome DLC!) whereas TST covers more events and time overall. In general, TST had more character development going on though we get a good luck at Duncan and some of the Orlesian Wardens via the Fade sequence in Calling. I find Calling easier to re-read but I always miss the Maric-Loghain banter.

Oh and I don't mind novel-gushing or Maric/Loghain-gushing at all.

I do like them both.  I mean, Maric + Fiona!   I also like the Duncan-Fiona friendship and the character of Kell.  I'm not even gonna talk about Hafter because I'll get...  ack, too late...  :crying:

I guess the magic 8 ball didn't spit out if DG is even the one who's going to write future novels?

Er... I suppose we should have spoiler tags eh?  I keep thinking everyone's read the novels but that's not always the case.

*does his Dragon Age novel dance*

I don't know what its about or if there are going to be more than one but I'm gonna start harassing Amazon for a preorder. Then I'm gonna harass them about cancelling my Morrigan and Tali figures on me for no good reason.

I was a big fan of Genevieve, actually. She even gets a slight mention from Loghain in one of the conversations at Redcliffe Castle, though he doesn't mention her by name.
