I was a big fan of Genevieve, actually. She even gets a slight mention from Loghain in one of the conversations at Redcliffe Castle, though he doesn't mention her by name.

Oh rly?  I didn't catch that.

I do squee over Loghain's TST references in-game, like in his dialogue with Shale.

Yeah the whole "the first warden Maric brought to Ferelden was a Woman and the finest warrior I've ever seen." line.

Oh that's Genevieve??  I never made the connection.  I mean, technically she's not brought to Ferelden, and does Loghain ever see her in action except when she's... you know?

Magic 8-ball says "chances are good".

Sweetness on a stick!
Loved the first two books and had been hoping to see more.

The first time she and the rest of the Orlesian Wardens meet with Maric, Loghain is there. And yeah that is the line I was thinking of, I was digging through the toolset just now and couldn't quite remember when it came up. I assume Loghain admires the way she commands her troops, unless he recognised her at the Circle battle (but that is unlikely given her..state at that point in time).

I assumed he must be talking about some woman we don't know.  I'm not convinced yet, but it's an interesting thought.  Actually now that I consider it, I'm surprised Loghain praised a Warden at all.

An Orlesian Warden at that!

There is some irony there.

Doesn't he make the comment in Awakening to a Female Warden?

I'm a big fan of Maric after the two books. I'd love to see one last book with him. Whether it was another adventure, or one that ties into his death at sea, it'd be nice to have some closure with him.

This made my night! Though I have to wonder what a non Thedas-based novel would be. I doubt we'd get anything like that for a very long time, if ever.

Wait, wait! What if... if he simply used a magic 8-ball to answer this question?

Unsure, I've definitely heard the comment before and have never kept Loghain alive for Awakening. Would be nice if the toolset included the DLC/Awakening information though.

Still not sure that is a Genevieve reference.  But it could be.

Oh, and Rowan disapproves -20

Oh, and then there's the classic "the Warden comes across a copy of TST" comic from the immortal aimo.

We can turn this into a TST gush thread, I won't mind.  Image IPB

Reading The Stolen Throne only made me hate Loghain even more.

Seriously, with friends like Loghain, who needs enemies?

I loved the two DA books, really good reads, thoroughly enjoyed them both. *Thumbs up*

I must say that I agree with the last post though, reading the books makes me dislike loghain even more. I just can't stand him.

Flemeth did warn Maric. No one ever said "listening to warnings" was one of his strongest points though. :P

There does seem to be a love-hate reaction.  I can say I really hate some of the things he does in Origins, but he's still a wonderful character.

If DG is too busy to write novels, maybe that means one of the other game writers will write future ones?

I'm always surprised/ sadface that there is not more fanart of either Maric or Fiona.  I know of only one of them together, a sketch by MillaTimmain.  This is my other favorite Fiona art, though a sad subject, her Fade dream.

Loghain never hated Wardens, at least from what you can see in-game. He only seems to believe that the Orlesian Wardens are an arm of the state, and allowing them into Ferelden will sacrifice its freedom.

yes! I'm addicted to the stolen thrown. I'm nearly finished and I might buy the calling if my mother let's me use her credit card.

loghain is my 3rd favorite character in the past 3 years( Shepard being second and James Darmady from boardwalk empire being first.)

Loved the books.  They add so much to the game.  I'm glad to hear that we'll likely get more.  I'd love to see some loose ends of Maric's story tied up , but I'm happy to get anything to add to game storyline.

Like Face of Evil, reading the books actually made me dislike Loghain more.  I read the books after my first playthrough.  He is such a selfish character in the book hardly the patriot that I thought he was in the game.
