Oh my God, I am SOOOO pissed off right now. I'm posting this thread to warn others to stay the Hell away from Gamespot, particularly from their article that talks about the pre-order bonus for Deus Ex:Human Revolution.
Needless to say, it contains a MASSIVE and I do mean MASSIVE spoiler. I won't repeat it here in case you have managed to stay away but I nor anyone else should EVER trust Gamespot again after this absolute betrayal. I'm not going to let Gamespot's inconsiderate stupidity prevent me from enjoying this game but I am nonetheless furious.
So yeah, do NOT read Gamespot's article about Deus Ex:Human Revolution. To be safe, I wouldn't go to Gamespot at all anymore.
**** YOU GAMESPOT!!! You ruined Deus Ex:Human Revolution

You have the bar set pretty low for what a spoiler is.

So true. He hears any little tidbit about a game and he thinks it's ruined. Just ask him how Fallout 3 was ruined.Crippledcarny wrote...

Two things.
One, this is not just some random game I'm looking forward to, it's a prequel to the BEST GAME EVER MADE! Even if it were a minor spoiler, anything that tarnishes what is likely to be a sublime experience is unforgivable!
Have you guys actually played Deus Ex 1? Have you seen the spoiler that Gamespot posted? I would've never have guessed there were such a direct comparison between the two games other than them taking place in the same universe. The fact that I now know this means that the surprise no doubt intended by the game's writers has been ruined.
This is an absolute disaster. I will do anything to forget this even if it means blacking out on 10 Four Lokos.

I'll be avoiding gamespot just to be safe.
Too many games nowadays are spoiled by advertising - lookin' at you ME2.

I'll be avoiding gamespot because it's gamespot, but how was ME2 spoiled by ads?

A "spoiler" for a pre-order bonus is not essential to any part of the game. Meaningless to anyone that won't pre-order.

A pre-order bonus is nevertheless part of the overall experience. How would you feel if Lair of the Shadow Broker was spoiled?
Also, Gamespot gave Epic Mickey a 6.0. Screw that! Epic Mickey was awesome and deserves at least an 8.5.
Gamespot should publicly apologize to Warren Specter and admit they suck.

Yeah, I always try and avoid almost any advertising of new games/movies/TV shows any more because of the what, IMO are often heavy spoilers. I haven't seen gamespot and thanks for the warning, I too am looking forward to this game.

You're welcome. Honestly, I'll still enjoy the game despite the spoiler but it still pretty jarring knowing that a huge twist has been prematurely revealed.
Other websites like destructoid and IGN have reportd on this same story but they avoided revealing the spoiler so gamespot has no excuse for this crap.
I'm not the only one who is pissed off either. The comment section for that article is filled with furious fans.

Dear Busomjack: how about you not make another thread with **** in the title? Also, Snape killed Dumbledore. All my love, Pacifien.
