There was a thread about this earlier, a possible new character/follower whose concept art was featured in NAG, a South African gaming magazine. It was closed because people were passing around a scanned pic from the magazine, which Priestly said violated copyright. However, the picture is posted on their website (click the table of contents PDF link) so I feel like we should be allowed to discuss it. I won't post the image here, but there it is, publicly available.

So who is this guy? Possible male LI? He certainly looks the part. One thing that's great about the fixed outfit system is it allows for body tattoos, which you can see on him (dunno why they're glowy though), which I always missed on Zev when the dialogue mentioned it but he never actually had any on his standard body model. Love his hair too, and his feathery armor is pretty cool, but I'm not sure what class it indicates. I want to say archer rogue, but that's a lot of rogues in the game, then. Could he be a mage?

Speculation, criticism, fangasms GO!

Edit:

**WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR**

Once slave to a Tevinter magister, Fenris was altered: lyrium was burned
into his flesh, its magic both stripping his memory as well as changing
him forever. He became a living weapon, and eventually used his power
to escape his chains. Now he finds himself in a strange land with no
friends—and a former master that refuses to let him be.

**BREAKING NEWS**

MEGFenris now has his character page up, with some new non-blurry screenshots and a front and back of his character design!
Is this an in-game MEG we spy? Because it sure looks like an in-game MEG :D

(For the newcomers) Who the heck is Meg?: Meg was a nickname for this character, before we knew his real name. It stands for Mysterious Elf Guy.

Yes, since the article is publicly available you may discuss him.

He's not a Dalish elf.

He's not a mage.

You will see. Eventually. Posted Image

Crikey, I leave this thread for an evening and what happens? Do I even want to go back and see what you've been up to for 20 pages? Probably not.

Incidentally, I think Chris's mention of "this is not a dating sim" is a result of people consistently asking that (and sometimes assuming it's the case) after every single character reveal... and not just this character in particular. People who work themselves up into a lather assuming that every character is an a) party member or B) romanceable are bound to be bitterly disappointed.

Not that you're not in charge of your own disappointments, but we don't want to see you crying when a character who is pretty awesome just isn't as awesome as you imagined them to be.

Wait... what am I saying? Of course we want to see you crying. Or at least I do.

...carry on.

Hey, so, um...whatever you do, DON'T tell us anything new or interesting about Meg. Grrrr and so forth. That would cause lots and lots of rage, I'm sure. So...definitely don't do that.

Okay.

They need to release some real info soon, 'cuz I don't think elf dude is ever gonna recover from being known as Meg. Not even if he turns out to be Chuck Norris with pointy ears.

...or being known as the shapshifter unicorn/Flemeth's lover/goat in elf form.

Assuming that we care what you call him.

Did you see that picture that Brockololly posted?

That's what I see every morning when I look in the mirror.

Well, except not animated.

Oh, Santa's real enough-- he was just corrupted by the darkspawn taint and fed to Mrs. Claus as she slowly turned into a jolly old brood mother.

THIS YEAR
IT'S GOING TO BE A DARK, DARK CHRISTMAS

Elf1: "Oh no! They got Santa!"

Elf3: "Run to the North Pole Alienage! Quick!"

Mrs. Claus the Brood Mother appears. SKREEE!
Female Elf: "Aieee!"

AND ONLY ONE HERO CAN SAVE THE DAY

FemWarden: *points crossbow*  "Get away from her, you b1tch!"

Hello, Dave. What about the other two?

Well, one was Arl Howe (I said in his write-up that he "sounds like Tim Curry"... I wasn't expecting to actually get Tim Curry). The other I can't tell you because she hasn't been announced yet, either.

So there you go. Fenris has been revealed (and they picked nice screenshots, too).

I'd suggest starting a new thread if you want to discuss him specifically. For now I'm going to close this one.
