There was a thread about this earlier, a possible new character/follower whose concept art was featured in NAG, a South African gaming magazine. It was closed because people were passing around a scanned pic from the magazine, which Priestly said violated copyright. However, the picture is posted on their website (click the table of contents PDF link) so I feel like we should be allowed to discuss it. I won't post the image here, but there it is, publicly available.

So who is this guy? Possible male LI? He certainly looks the part. One thing that's great about the fixed outfit system is it allows for body tattoos, which you can see on him (dunno why they're glowy though), which I always missed on Zev when the dialogue mentioned it but he never actually had any on his standard body model. Love his hair too, and his feathery armor is pretty cool, but I'm not sure what class it indicates. I want to say archer rogue, but that's a lot of rogues in the game, then. Could he be a mage?

I love the dalish, and I will be so glad if we get a perma- dalish companion. Especially for when I use my old dalish gamesave to transfer my decisions in. Heck, maybe he's even met my old warden.

* Most definitely a character. "But that's meaningless" you say. I mean, he's probably got a name and a personality. Lots of detail and an expression to match.

* Potentially but not necessarily a companion. Simply because the image lacks context.

Is he wearing clothing or armour? It mostly reminds me of NWN mage outfits.

Looks like a love interest, as he has the "look" of it.

I think he's a follower because I'm pretty certain we'll be getting at least one Dalish follower and he looks the part. The only thing that would change my opinion on this is if we saw a female Dalish with a follower-worthy design.

That's a good point. I guess I'm still stuck in the mage=skirt DAO mindset. But it makes more sense if he is a mage.

My bet would be a mage as well. If that is the case we have two apostate mages most likely (I can't see your average Dalish elf joining the Circle).

My money is on mage as well. Also he seems to have a claw gauntlet similar to Hawke's. And he doesn't have the look of a 'nice guy'. Well not at first glance anyway.

I've seen that, what I mean is I'm still not going to be convinced until I see him actually, you know, in a screenshot with the party.  He could simply be present in that lineup to represent elves.

I mean, it's likely I'm just not certain.

Meh....I really do not like the art design....spikes and now feathers on everything it seems- it just makes everything look so goofy. He looks like he should be in a JRPG really.

White eyebrows just look weird. The white hair looks good on him, whereas I think Cass looks better in black hair.

Yeah I am hoping for a city elf companion as well. It does make sense to me with there being a large alienage in Kirkwall + historical importance of elf slavery.

He looks like a Zevran clone. Zev was cool, but I'd rather have more variety. Then again, we know concept art is misleading.

Does his existence mean that a female elf LI is out? Crap.
