Well, it's nothing wrong with that, right?  I think that the tone in this thread so far is very amiable - we're just having some fun with different theories is all. There have been no major bashing so far, just people voicing their opinions and hopes for this new character, some neat fan-art and some who shake their head in an amused kind of way over how this character could have gotten so much attention in such a short timespan. Me too.  I've been lurking the Garrus thread for far too long and I have yet to post there.  Mentally, it just seems easier to be a part of the original posters in a fan thread then just popping in and posting in an established thread.  So I jumped on this train as soon as I found out.  It's been fun so far 

As much as I know I'll adore Varric, I'm not that into a dwarf romance and the distinct possibility of an elf romance intrigued me, especially after Collider wrote out his thoughts regarding Meg.  So here I am.

Exactly, one of those runestones was found in the deep roads another was found in the urn quest at the temple in the drake cave where they ambush you.   I think the black one more so than the white one.  Maybe someone with these rune stones would be able to do magic and not be a mage.  Since Gaider already told us that MEG is not a mage. 

If you look close, MEG does have a nose like Alistair and stubble like Alistair, he also has a jaw very similar.  Still doesn't mean anything.   I just found it odd that these markings and the runestones match.

Not unless that is Alistair shapeshifted into an elf, then we have facial hair. 


I'm not saying that MEG is Alistair but this is the only reason I can come up with unless one of the rune markings gives an elf facial hair.  LOL!   If MEG is a new type of elf race then they might have facial hair.  We don't know yet.  I never saw in the game that elves couldn't have facial hair.  Doesn't Zevran have 5 o'clock shadow?   Where is it referenced that elves can't have facial hair.  I missed that. 


Uh no, I don't think MEG is a new type of darkspawn.  No way that could be unless all Arlathan elves are darkspawn and we know this isn't the case with Qunari, Humans, Dwarves, and Elves.

Ohh, I do hope there's a story behind the runes that match up with Meg's glowing circles.  He has so much potential just looking at him and his wondrous scars.  This also gives the former Tervinter slave speculation some weight perhaps?
