I'm sure everyone at Bioware is a pro at ignoring that which they do not want to see, but you have to wonder how long it takes to decompress after stumbling across this kind of thread about a character you are partly responsible for, for the first time. Or who knows, maybe you never really get used to it.



Maybe it's the noob-artist or noob-writer hazing ritual. Don't warn them of the inevitable fan reaction, and then send them to the forum after a character reveal. Like Fight Club. "You see a developer come to the forums for the first time, and his ass is a loaf of white bread. You see this same guy here six months later, and he looks carved out of wood."

Actually... you gusy may be on to something.... The only way an elf could possibly have facial hair is if he is not truly and elf! i.e. he is only half-elf... one of his parents was human I'll bet...

Since, he's clearly not Dalish... well... I'm thinking that he was the offspring of some poor elf-women who lived in one of those human city alienages and was raped by a nobleman.... a very similar situation to the origin story

Or I could be totally off and some random maleficar majicked the stubble on ze elfman!

@ Java Unfortunately for that scenario, in DA, elf mommies with human baby daddies pop out completely human babies. So no half-elves.

I think I've read it somewhere and half-elf would never appear to be an elf, he/she would appear human. It is one of the many reasons why Dalish chose not to mingle with human. MEG is clearly an elf, so there is no way he's half-elf.
