As I said above, *yes*, yes it might be dangerous. Or there might be some technique we don't know of that makes it work. I'm just throwing the idea out there -- lyrium dust + ink could = glowy white/blue tattoos.

Hmmm.... the elf looks like an assassin to me. An assassin with enchantments placed on him. While I'm randomly guessing maybe his tattoos mark his rank or who he is associated with. I'm thinking a male version of Katriel maybe....

I like the idea someone had that he's an elf from qunari lands. He wouldn't be Dalish, but he'd still have a vastly different culture than what we've encountered so far.
