His hair is pulled back, the same color, he has a pretty large nose, and is a mage. He was supposed to come to Kirkwall with Isabela, and since she's there too...I'm definitely seeing the relation.

And that's partly the reason I'm pretty sure it's not him - they've bought back Isabela, and possibly Nathaniel and Alistair in some saves too, I don't see them bringing back Anders as well. I'm looking forward to new companions, and I'm sure Bioware, with all the 'This is not the Warden's story' talk a while back, thinks the same.

Nathaniel is most likely a temporary companion, if that. Alistair will not be returning as companion, just a cameo, by all indications.

Well from Dragon Age Origins it is a change for the elves.

I honestly don't care if he is or isn't Anders. I'd be happy with either or, it's not a huge deal.

Skinny elves? No, they were all slim and skinny. I mean, they had six packs but they were much more slim than humans. They look pretty much the same now.

Well there is a possibility that he does look thinner than normal only because he isn't wearing heavy armor. I don't know my eyes tell me he looks thinner then lets say Cammen from DAO, but it could just have been the armor he was wearing.

Meg doesn't seem to have any weapon in that screenshot, I still wonder about his class. Looks like there is a third rogue (archer guy, assuming he is a companion).

Here's a random thought:

What if he was experimented on by the Chantry mages and templars to try and come up with a new kind of templar fighter? Who better to experiment on than an impoverished elf right? The glowing lines could be lyrium implanted into him to enhance his strength/speed/whatever he uses to fight.

That was one of the Awakening's epilogue slides, right? I've never gotten it, but I'm sure I've heard about it on the forums. Hmm, now I'm torn.

As for Meg, I liked him with the tattoos, if only the blue ones. But I liked it for aesthetic reasons, and if they don't fit with his character I won't be sad to see them go.

The lighting seems to influence colors a LOT**, so who knows if that's his actual skin tone.

If it is, though, I dig the monochrome. He matches his outfit.

Ooh yes, I didn't zoom in on the second shot. The triforce is still there too.

I liked the chin/neck tattoos as well though. You can definitely see something on his neck in that shot, but it's not blue or in the same pattern. Hopefully they'll have a clear in-game shot of him in his character reveal.
