There, there, I think it had something to do with the redesign of the elf. 
Not just MEG, look at Varric. He looks slightly taller and not a single strand of beard in sight.....arh....where is his chest hair?

His face does look a sickly yellow like Leliana, but his feet are darker, so hopefully it is just some bad lighting. I think he has white paint splashed on his hands that is making them look more skeletal.

I am SO GLAD you said that, I was thinking that I was the only one seeing this.
I honestly hope his skin will not look like this throught the game.

The chest hair is present, and he never had a beard.

He does have a beard in the concept art although it's not much of beard to speak of, more like just extra chest hair growing on his face.
